Dark Defender: XRP Will Have No Mercy Based On This Development

Prominent XRP analyst Dark Defender recently took to X with a strong message for his followers. He wrote, “Financial infrastructure is transitioning before our eyes. We were right, folks. I am telling you, XRP will have no mercy.”

Hours earlier, Ripple had announced a strategic partnership with Cross River Bank to integrate its RLUSD stablecoin into the bank’s core operating system.

Details of the Partnership

Ripple and Cross River Bank announced the integration of RLUSD, Ripple’s USD-backed stablecoin, directly into Cross River’s proprietary Core Operating System. The deal gives fintech companies, payment providers, and financial institutions access to stablecoin transactions without requiring them to build separate blockchain infrastructure.

Cross River’s Head of Fintech Banking Adam Goller confirmed that clients now move between U.S. dollars and RLUSD, settle cross-border payments 24/7, and access ACH, wire transfers, and real-time payments through a single API. The XRP Ledger serves as the settlement layer. The services currently operate in a limited number of U.S. states.

What it Means for XRP

The integration puts XRP Ledger activity directly inside a regulated U.S. bank’s core system. Every fintech client on Cross River’s platform gains access to XRP Ledger settlement as a payment rail alongside traditional options. That increases real-world transaction volume routed through the ledger.

The deal also extends RLUSD’s footprint into institutional banking environments. RLUSD operates on the XRP Ledger, so growth in stablecoin activity on that network ties directly to ledger utility. For XRP holders, institutional adoption at this level signals expanding adoption of the infrastructure the asset powers.

How the Community Reacted

Dark Defender’s post generated significant engagement. One commenter stated that he had held the same conviction since 2018 and was still waiting for the move to materialize. Another said the situation was getting serious. One market participant described the moment as “sitting at the precipice of glory.”

Not every response was celebratory. One commenter called the situation a circus, noting XRP still traded at pennies while the analyst was already congratulating the community.

A Growing Pattern

The Cross River deal is part of a rapid expansion of Ripple’s institutional footprint. A few days earlier, Ripple partnered with Stripe-owned Privy to bring embedded XRP Ledger wallets to developers building fintech applications. The pace of these announcements reflects growing institutional confidence in XRP Ledger as payment infrastructure.

Dark Defender’s post captured a sentiment that runs through much of the XRP community.
