Technical analyst ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA) has put his social media presence on the line. He declared he is “that confident” that he will delete his X account if $XRP hits $1,000. The post has generated significant attention, with dozens of replies from across the XRP community.
The declaration is notable given ChartNerd’s history. He has spent a long time publicly rejecting extreme XRP price targets, applying market cap logic to dismiss calls as high as $100,000. His position has remained consistent despite sustained pushback from XRP enthusiasts who believe those targets are achievable.

The Analyst’s Strong Conviction
ChartNerd has held this stance consistently and challenged some of the most prominent voices in the XRP community. Many others share his stance because of XRP’s circulating supply of 63 billion tokens. A market cap at $1,000 would surpass half of Global GDP. No asset in history has reached a valuation anywhere near that figure.
The analyst also referenced a prior call in his replies. He predicted XRP would drop below $1 a week before it happened in August. He stated he is “grounded in data” and that charts aided his outlook earlier in the year.
He acknowledged the bet is not a guarantee and said he is open to being wrong. He added that he has conviction in his work. The accurate call earlier this year has boosted his confidence, and while he has set bullish targets for XRP, he does not see the $1,000 target as realistic.
The XRP Army’s Reactions
The response to his post varied. One reply advised caution, suggesting ChartNerd could not fully know the situation unless he had access to information from the highest levels of decision-making. The commenter acknowledged XRP hitting $1,000 was unlikely but argued the unknown variables make such a definitive bet risky.

Another commenter said he would also delete his account if XRP hit $1,000, and joked he would buy a van and travel the world instead. ChartNerd replied with enthusiasm, asking the market participant to take him along.
When asked whether he meant XRP would not hit $1,000 or whether it would never hit that level, ChartNerd clarified his stance, writing, “Never.” The analyst has not shifted his position. He continues applying the same framework to extreme targets and has now made the stakes personal.
