Top Investor Says He Won’t Sell His XRP Position. Here’s why

XRP holders aren’t reading from the same page. A community member recently shared her view that the popular narratives around XRP reaching hundreds or even thousands of dollars per token are unrealistic.

That post drew a notable response from Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy), one of the most recognized voices in the XRP community.

She argued that $15-$20 represents a more grounded ceiling, and that consistently reaching the $5-$10 range would already be an exceptional outcome. Digital Asset Investor agreed with her breakdown, but revealed that he does not plan to sell his core position at $5-$10.

Digital Asset Investor’s Stance

Digital Asset Investor acknowledged the sentiment but made his own position clear. He said the view the community member expressed is “probably a pretty common sentiment in the XRP community.” He added that most holders will exit at $5-$10, which he called “understandable since many have waited a long time.”

But he didn’t place himself in that group. “I may buy a toy,” he said, “but I won’t be selling my core position at those prices.” That is consistent with the stance Digital Asset Investor has maintained over time. He has repeatedly pointed to Evernorth’s Nasdaq listing, the company’s 473 million XRP holdings, and its strategy of deploying XRP through institutional lending and DeFi as reasons to expect significant price appreciation.

He has described the current environment as one where pressure has been building without a major market breakout. Selling at $5-$10 does not fit that outlook.

The Community Responds

Community reactions to the exchange covered a wide range of perspectives. One member said XRP would likely go straight to three digits once manipulation ends and the asset is allowed to move freely. Another compared selling early to discovering a diamond mine and walking away after finding just one stone.

One member noted that XRP is already worth more than four times what he paid, and pushed back on those expressing disappointment, saying complaints at $1.40 will likely continue at $14.

Others were more measured. One said to invest based on results, not speculation, and called it a reality check. Another expressed doubt that the $5-$10 range would even arrive at the current pace, placing that outcome as far off as 2050.

One holder said he plans to borrow against his position rather than sell as prices rise, and suggested those who sell will regret it. Another said he is recouping his initial investment at those levels but intends to wait for the three- and four-digit price targets before making further moves.
