Analyst Says Everyone Is Wrong About XRP’s Price. Here’s why

Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto shared a different view of XRP’s current price structure, warning that the cryptocurrency may not immediately continue higher despite signs of bullish consolidation.

In a video shared on X, Steph examined XRP on both lower and higher timeframes and outlined two possible outcomes, including a potential return toward the $1 region before another major move higher.

XRP Bull Flag Points to a Potential Breakout

Steph said XRP currently appears to be forming a large bull flag following its previous rally. He pointed to the consolidation structure with downward-sloping resistance and support lines as evidence that the asset remains in a local uptrend.

According to his analysis, XRP’s price action resembles an earlier setup in which the cryptocurrency rallied significantly before entering a consolidation period. He said the current compression could eventually lead to another move higher.

However, Steph identified approximately $1.43 as the key level that XRP needs to overcome before he would confirm a bullish breakout. He said XRP would need to close one or two four-hour candles above that level to confirm a stronger upward move.

If that breakout occurs, Steph expects XRP to move above $2, with $2.10 identified as a short-term target.

The analyst also highlighted the downside level that could invalidate the bull-flag setup. He placed important support around $1.32 and said multiple four-hour closes below that region could indicate that the bullish structure has failed.

2022 Bear Market Pattern Raises Another Possibility

Steph In Crypto’s analysis became more cautious when he moved to the weekly timeframe. He compared XRP’s current structure with its price action near the end of the 2022 bear market using the Gaussian Channel indicator.

He explained that XRP initially rallied into the lower boundary of the Gaussian Channel in 2022 before consolidating around that area for several weeks. The cryptocurrency then moved lower and eventually formed a double bottom before beginning a stronger reversal.

Steph In Crypto believes XRP is replicating that structure today. He noted that XRP previously moved below the Gaussian Channel before a major rally into the indicator’s lower boundary. The cryptocurrency is now consolidating below that boundary after facing rejection.

XRP Could Drop Toward $1

Based on the comparison, Steph presented two possible scenarios rather than committing to a single direction. If XRP breaks above $1.43, he expects the bull flag to trigger a stronger upward move.

If XRP instead loses the $1.30 region, he believes the recovery could take longer. Under that scenario, XRP could form another double bottom, potentially sending the price toward the $1 region before a larger reversal.

Steph therefore emphasized that the immediate price levels around $1.43 and $1.30 could determine whether XRP breaks higher directly or another decline before resuming its broader recovery.
