Expert Says XRP Will Have Most Hated Pump the World Has Ever Seen. Here’s why

A computer engineer and XRP enthusiast known as CharuSan (@CharuSan83) posted a striking prediction on August 23. He declared that XRP will have “the most hated pump the world has ever seen.”

The post drew thousands of views within hours of going live. It arrived at a moment when XRP had just completed one of its strongest weekly performances in years.

XRP started last week near $0.99. It climbed steadily and peaked $1.68 before pulling back slightly. XRP now trades at $1.45, up 45.5% from last week, making it one of the top-performing major cryptocurrencies over the period.

Washington Clears the Path

The surge did not happen in isolation. A sequence of events in Washington gave XRP a clear catalyst. The U.S. Treasury announced it would double long-bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation starting September 9. The news triggered $3 billion in short liquidations across crypto markets. Bitcoin crossed $72,000, pulling the entire market.

On August 18, the SEC proposed new fundraising exemption rules for crypto assets, including a safe harbor provision allowing exit securities classification once their network operates independently.

The following day, President Trump hosted a White House summit with SEC Chair Paul Atkins, CFTC Chair Michael Selig, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. Garlinghouse confirmed that the administration, the SEC, and the CFTC are fully aligned on crypto policy.

The CFTC Removes a Key Blocker

On August 20, the CFTC held its inaugural Innovation Advisory Committee meeting. Selig confirmed the agency will move forward with formal crypto market rules under existing authority, regardless of whether the CLARITY Act passes. The bill faces a procedural Senate vote on September 15 and currently has around a 10% chance of clearing the 60-vote threshold. Selig’s commitment removed that uncertainty as a price blocker for XRP.

These events drove XRP up more than 60% from its weekly lows before a leverage-driven flash crash on August 22 pulled it back briefly to around $1.50.

Community Reactions

Responses to CharuSan’s post reflected strong confidence across the XRP community. One commenter expressed immediate readiness and enthusiasm.

Another said he hopes the predicted move happens before the year ends. A third described current conditions as “melting face rally season.” The XRP army is excited as the asset shows strong momentum, and many are preparing for the pump that CharuSan described.
