Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is scheduled to speak at the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, an invitation-only event hosted by SALT and Kraken in Jackson Hole from August 17 to 20.
XRP community member Crypto Eri (@sentosumosaba) flagged the appearance, citing the official SALT speaker page as confirmation.
The event draws approximately 500 participants, including policymakers, institutional investors, and crypto industry leaders. This is designed to advance digital asset regulation, promote decentralized financial systems and deepen institutional understanding of blockchain technology.

A High-Profile Gathering
Garlinghouse is one of several notable figures confirmed for the symposium. SEC Chair Paul Atkins, Senator Cynthia Lummis, Galaxy’s Michael Novogratz, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe, Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson and Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon are also on the agenda.
The breadth of the speaker lineup reflects the event’s positioning as a serious forum for financial and regulatory dialogue around digital assets.
What Garlinghouse Will Address
His session, titled “Modernizing Financial Infrastructure,” is scheduled for Day 2 of the symposium on August 18. CNBC reporter Tanaya Macheel will serve as moderator. The session title aligns directly with Ripple’s long-standing focus on cross-border payments and the broader modernization of financial systems through blockchain technology.
Though Ripple has not signaled any XRP-specific announcement ahead of the event, the subject matter of the session overlaps with the XRP Ledger ecosystem and the payment infrastructure it supports.
Crypto Eri also noted that the 2025 edition of the SALT event was streamed publicly and encouraged the community to monitor potential coverage of this year’s proceedings.

A Welcome Shift for the XRP Community
The appearance comes at a time when Garlinghouse has been notably quiet on X, with some XRP community members publicly calling on him to comment on XRP’s poor performance and other notable market events.
For a community that has been eager to hear directly from Ripple’s leadership, the Wyoming symposium represents a meaningful opportunity to gain perspective on where Ripple stands and how it views the evolving regulatory and financial landscape.
The event is not a Ripple-specific platform. However, Garlinghouse’s participation in a forum of this scale, alongside regulators and institutional voices, is notable. The XRP army is watching, and with Ripple also set to meet with the President soon, market participants hope to hear from the CEO about the XRP ecosystem, Ripple’s plans, and the direction of the crypto space.
