XRP closed its weekly candle at $1.029, marking the lowest weekly close in nearly two years. The price reached a high of $3.65 earlier in the cycle before tanking 73%.
The XRP community has taken notice, and many investors are wary. Abs Nassif, host of the Good Evening Crypto podcast, has turned his attention to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, who has been surprisingly quiet while XRP struggles. He spoke the mind of most XRP holders: where is Garlinghouse?

Where Is @bgarlinghouse!? 🤔💭 https://t.co/N1Gwwgj104

Garlinghouse Goes Quiet
Garlinghouse has been largely absent from public communication. His last post on X came on July 22, when he replied to a comment from Ripple CLO Stuart Alderoty regarding the CLARITY Act, a piece of crypto legislation that has since stalled.
Alderoty described it as “a consumer protection bill” with strong AML/KYC provisions and real tools for law enforcement. Garlinghouse responded with enthusiasm, writing, “My thoughts exactly…. Perfect can’t be the enemy of good. Let’s get this done!”
The community has been pressing for commentary on the bill’s delay ever since, but Garlinghouse has offered nothing.
Surprising Inactivity
Garlinghouse’s following count on X currently sits at 588. For a long time, that number held at 589, a figure that carries significance within the XRP community as many believe XRP will eventually hit $589. The drop to 588 suggests he unfollowed someone or an account he follows was terminated.
If the second happened, his failure to make it up suggests total absence from social media. The community has noticed, and many are even more worried as XRP struggles with the $1 support level.
XRP Army Reacts
Responses from the XRP community show a wide range of perspectives. One commenter dismissed concerns about Garlinghouse’s absence entirely. The CEO got married in late 2025, and he suggested that Garlinghouse is spending time with his wife.

Another argued that macro conditions such as inflation, rising costs, and reduced consumer spending are factors beyond any executive’s control. He stated that Garlinghouse doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.
JD (@jaydee_757), a prominent analyst in the community, noted he had called the $3.37 top publicly and added a position near the $1 level, signaling personal confidence in the asset regardless of Garlinghouse’s presence.
The range of reactions reflects how divided the community has become during this period of price weakness and leadership silence. At press time, Garlinghouse had not responded to the community’s calls for communication.
