XRP briefly fell below $1, touching $0.998 before recovering to trade right at $1. Several analysts had predicted a sweep below that mark, and the market delivered. Now, attention turns to how much further the asset may fall, and where serious buyers are positioning themselves.
Rector Sets His Levels
Crypto expert Zach Rector has placed his final buy orders at $0.96 and $0.92. He expects the downside to remain limited, saying, “I don’t think that we go much deeper than that, maybe down to about $0.88 to $0.90.” His confidence comes from what he sees building at those price levels.
He notes that “a lot of orders are stacked up between $1 and $0.88,” suggesting demand is concentrated in that zone.

XRP May Not Fall to $0.70
Some analysts have called for XRP to reach $0.70 or even $0.50. Rector pushes back on those targets. He believes the weight of buy orders sitting between $1 and $0.88 will absorb selling pressure before prices fall that far. “Too many people like myself and many of you are stacking up our bids between $1 and $0.88 right here,” he said. In his view, traders waiting for $0.70 risk getting left behind entirely.
Analysts like ChartNerd and CasiTrades have also weighed in on the downside. ChartNerd has held a sub-$1 target since June, with downside projections reaching $0.70. CasiTrades has identified $0.87 as her primary support target, with $0.93 as an alternative. Rector’s range overlaps with those calls, though he remains more conservative on how far the decline extends.
A Market Nearing Its Floor
Rector sees the current period as the tail end of a correction. He expects the bear market to wrap up between now and the midterms, with a shift to bullish conditions to follow. His decision to place final buy orders reflects that view. He is not waiting for deeper levels to confirm, but acting on the levels he trusts.

Polymarket data published earlier this month assigned a 65% probability that XRP will close August below $1. The asset has now tested that threshold. The brief dip to $0.998 validated the bearish case many analysts had built. At the same time, it brought the price directly into the range Rector and others had been watching.
Rector closed his video by encouraging viewers to act. “I’m getting my final buy orders in,” he said. “I hope you are too.”
