Fruition Productions, the company behind the highly anticipated XRP documentary “XRP Unleashed,” is generating excitement with the imminent release of a new trailer. Announced via a recent post on X, the trailer is scheduled for release on April 5.
This trailer will be the second glimpse into the documentary. The first was a well-received trailer launched in February. Fruition Productions expressed gratitude to those interviewed so far, hinting at a diverse range of voices contributing to the project.
XRP Unleashed and the XRP Lawsuit
XRP Unleashed aims to shed light on the complex events surrounding XRP and its parent company, Ripple. The documentary will explore the ongoing legal battle between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
It will cover the market disruption caused by the lawsuit and the controversies that have emerged throughout the legal proceedings, such as the infamous speech by former SEC official Bill Hinman.
To achieve this comprehensive portrayal, Fruition Productions has conducted in-depth interviews with key figures in the cryptocurrency industry. These include prominent crypto influencers, Ripple employees, financial advisors, and legal experts. Their insights will provide a multifaceted perspective on the ongoing situation.
The February trailer offered a two-minute preview featuring commentary from influential figures within the XRP community. Pro-XRP attorney John Deaton and crypto YouTuber Zach Rector were among those interviewed.
Rector’s segment focused on the SEC’s potential motives for targeting Ripple and XRP. He suggested that the regulatory body aimed to establish its authority over the cryptocurrency space, with Ripple and XRP being viewed as prime targets due to their perceived threat to traditional financial systems.

Deaton offered a critical perspective on the lawsuit’s impact. He characterized the SEC as overly aggressive and argued that their actions triggered a de facto bank run on XRP, causing its value to plummet.
This had significant negative consequences for XRP holders, some of whom had invested a substantial portion of their savings. Deaton has commented on how the lawsuit hurt XRP’s adoption in the past, and this documentary could reveal more.
The first trailer concluded with a hint towards the documentary’s exploration of “ETHGATE,” a long-standing controversy surrounding the SEC’s perceived preferential treatment of Ethereum compared to XRP.
The documentary has the potential to provide valuable context for the ongoing legal battle and its broader implications for the cryptocurrency industry. Fruition Productions has yet to announce a release date for the full documentary. However, the community is excited, and eagerly waiting for the trailer.
