WisdomTree, a prominent fund management firm, has launched its Physical XRP Exchange-Traded Product (ETP) on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
The introduction of this financial instrument, shared on X by popular crypto figure Amonyx (@amonbuy), represents a significant step in expanding the accessibility and investment opportunities surrounding XRP.
WisdomTree is a global financial company that offers ETPs, models, and solutions. The company also offers a personal finance app, WisdomTree Prime, which combines saving, spending, and investing.
WisdomTree’s mission is to create better ways to invest and provide a superior investing experience for clients. Its foray into cryptocurrency products has cemented cryptocurrencies as a viable investment opportunity and asset class.
The WisdomTree Physical XRP ETP, listed under the ticker symbol XRPW:SW, provides institutional and retail investors with a regulated and convenient way to gain exposure to XRP.
The product, physically backed by XRP, ensures investors own the underlying asset. Each ETP is fully collateralized, with the XRP stored in an institutional-grade custody solution.
The WisdomTree Physical XRP ETP launch is part of a broader trend among asset managers seeking to offer regulated and transparent investment vehicles for digital assets.
Amonyx revealed that the product is available on the SIX Swiss Exchange and accessible on other major exchanges, including the Deutsche Börse Xetra and Euronext in Paris and Amsterdam.
Similar products have received significant interest from investors this year. WisdomTree’s XRP ETP is the most affordable product of its kind in Europe. It is available in Austria, Belgium, France, Finland, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Luxembourg, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.
XRP has maintained its position as one of the most prominent cryptocurrencies, and the addition of XRP-focused financial products like WisdomTree’s ETP is expected to boost its mainstream adoption and liquidity.
The WisdomTree ETP closed at $58.48 on Friday, November 22, 2024, marking a 34.50% increase from its previous price, highlighting growing market interest.
The launch of this ETP has drawn attention within the cryptocurrency community, with many showing enthusiasm for it. The crypto market in the U.S. is about to enter a new phase and might soon see more launches of similar or better financial products.
