As a report has it, Flexa, a Gemini-backed payment network, has added the meme-token Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment method.
The new development implies that users of Flexa’s SPEDN application can now start paying with SHIB tokens across over 40,000 merchants, such as GameStop, Lowe’s, among others.

The new development was passed across via a tweet on 10th December 2021.
Flaxa tweeted, “Let’s get a head start on the weekend… SHIB is here! Now you can use Shibtoken for fast and fraud-proof payments anywhere Flexa is accepted—including more than 40,000 stores across the US.”

Flexa is a payments network that partnered with Gemini, one of the leading US-based crypto exchanges back in 2019.

The announcement also came a few days after Kraken added support for the digital currency.
BitPay Lists Shiba Inu (SHIB)
According to an announcement on 9th December, BitPay, the largest cryptocurrency payment company, has incorporated Shiba Inu (SHIB) into its wallet app that allows storing, buying, swapping, and spending cryptocurrencies,

The meme token has joined the likes of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) and several stablecoins on the list of available cryptocurrencies.
Some of the supported merchants are now automatically able to accept the meme coin.
Last month, electronics retailer Newegg announced that it would start accepting the meme coin before the Christmas holidays, becoming the first BitPay customer to do so.
