This Flood of XRP ETF Deadlines Can Cause Price Explosion In July

In recent months, XRP has found itself at the center of a growing conversation surrounding the potential for large-scale institutional adoption. One reason for the rising attention is the volume of ETF-related activity scheduled throughout July.

Crypto influencer Xaif (@Xaif_Crypto) highlighted this trend, noting that “Big money is circling.” His observation reflects a belief shared by many in the crypto industry that XRP may be on the verge of entering a new phase of maturity.

While speculation has always surrounded XRP’s long-term price potential, the entrance of Exchange-Traded Funds, particularly spot ETFs, introduces a concrete mechanism for broader investor participation. These filings are not isolated. Several proposed XRP ETFs are scheduled for decision deadlines this month.

Each of these represents a potential gateway for traditional financial institutions to gain exposure to XRP, and Xaif suggests that a tsunami is coming.

The Massive Wave of XRP ETFs

Spot XRP ETFs are considered the most significant of these filings. Unlike futures-based funds, which rely on derivative contracts, spot ETFs require direct acquisition of the asset. This creates real buying pressure, which could influence market dynamics more directly.

If approved, spot XRP ETFs would mirror the structure of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which helped drive demand and price growth. While no spot XRP ETFs have been approved in the U.S., the SEC recently approved Grayscale’s conversion of its Digital Large Cap Fund, which includes XRP, into a spot ETF, but chose to delay the process before its launch.

The SEC has also delayed decisions on other products. Still, after multiple similar delays, it chose to move forward with the Franklin Templeton spot XRP ETF, formally opening proceedings to determine whether the proposal was consistent with the requirements of the Exchange Act. This review period lasts 180 days, with a potential decision expected on or before September 9.

Meanwhile, products like the Teucrium Long Daily XRP ETF aim to provide a different kind of exposure and are outperforming expectations. There is high demand for these products, and other countries have taken the lead, with Canada recently launching its first spot XRP ETF.

The upcoming ETF deadlines could act as a short-term catalyst, especially if approvals coincide or occur in succession. If these approvals trigger the tsunami of institutional investment the community is anticipating, we might see XRP test new highs.
