Expert Says This Could Be the Most Important XRP Video You’ll Ever Watch

Crypto commentator Michelle Kirby (@_Michellekirby1) recently shared a video featuring YouTuber and crypto analyst Austin Hilton, who drew a striking comparison between today’s crypto landscape and the early days of the internet.

Hilton, who is 56, used a personal story to make the case that XRP investors may be sitting on an opportunity that most people are too fearful to recognize.

A Story From the Early Internet Era

Hilton opened by telling his audience, “I truly believe that this is one of the most important XRP videos that you will ever watch.” He then walked through his personal experience with his father’s truck accessory business in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

His father had just launched his first e-commerce website, hitchfinder.com, which cost around $30,000 to build. The initial goal was modest, with plans to sell nine or ten hitches per day. Hilton saw something bigger.

He left a six-figure corporate sales job in Dallas, moved to Charlotte, and invested in the internet side of the business. By the time he sold it in 2008, the operation was moving over 1,000 hitches and trailer accessories per day.

The Parallel to XRP

In the early internet era, the technology faced widespread fear, skepticism, and active resistance. Mainstream media pushed back, and regular people did not understand it, with many thinking it was dangerous. Those who recognized the opportunity and stayed the course saw enormous results.

Hilton sees the same pattern playing out with crypto and XRP today. “There was a lot of fear around the internet,” Hilton said, “just like there is a lot of fear around crypto and uncertainty and a lot of people out there fighting crypto.”

His position is that the fear surrounding XRP is not evidence of weakness. It is evidence of early-stage positioning, the same kind of environment that existed before the internet became a mainstream economic force.

Why This Resonates With Investors

Hilton noted that members of his private group had contacted him specifically because his earlier telling of this story had inspired them. That response pushed him to revisit it publicly.

The message targets both new and experienced XRP holders. For newer investors navigating uncertainty, it provides historical context. For long-term holders, it reinforces the thesis that patience through resistance is consistent with how transformative technologies have developed.

The people who acted when the internet was new and unpopular built significant wealth. Hilton and many other experts believe XRP is still in its early phase, and investors who hold through today’s resistance may look back on this period the same way.
