XRP Trades Near Channel Resistance

Michael’s daily chart shows the asset moving within a falling wedge marked by two falling trendlines. The upper boundary has rejected several recovery attempts, while the lower boundary has consistently attracted buyers.

At the time of the chart, XRP traded near $1.12 after recovering from support around the lower end of the pattern. That rebound has carried the token back toward the upper trendline, placing resistance in focus once again.

Recent Recovery Strengthens the Setup

The asset tested support twice in June. The first occurred at the beginning of the month during a market-wide decline. The second came after a short rebound was rejected at the resistance. The latest price action shows XRP producing higher lows again after bouncing from support.

Buyers pushed the token up before its movement paused just below the descending resistance. Although XRP remains within the channel, the recovery has reduced the distance between the price and the upper trendline. That leaves the market approaching the apex of the pattern.

Breakout Level Remains the Key Focus

The chart identifies the descending resistance as the level traders will watch most closely. A move above that trendline would end the pattern of lower highs that has defined the channel for months.

Current resistance sits around $1.20. The analyst also highlighted a resistance zone between $1.90 and $2.10. This served as support for most of 2025 after XRP’s explosive breakout in late 2024. If the asset can reclaim this level, it could target previous highs from 2025.

Technical analysts often view a breakout from this type of formation as a sign that bullish momentum is strengthening. Confirmation usually comes if the price holds above the former resistance after the initial move.

Michael’s outlook centers on timing rather than a distant target. His post says XRP is only days away from a bullish breakout, suggesting he expects the asset to challenge the resistance in the near term.

For now, XRP continues to trade just below that barrier. The chart keeps attention on whether buyers can generate enough momentum to secure a decisive move above the upper trendline.

Comparing Three Major XRP Market Crashes

Egrag Crypto began by revisiting the March 2020 COVID-19 market crash, which he noted on X, resulted in approximately $1.2 billion in liquidations. Following that event, he stated that XRP advanced by roughly 1,900%, eventually reaching around $1.89.

He then pointed to the collapse of FTX in November 2022, which he said triggered approximately $1.6 billion in liquidations. According to his analysis, XRP subsequently recorded another major recovery, climbing about 1,200% to approximately $3.37.

The analyst then turned to what he described as the “10/10 Crash” on October 10, 2025, which he said produced an estimated $19.6 billion in liquidations. Unlike the previous two events, this market cycle is still developing, leading Egrag Crypto to examine what could happen if XRP follows its historical recovery pattern once again.

Average Expansion Leads to $13 XRP Price Projection

Using the two previous post-crash rallies as a benchmark, Egrag Crypto calculated an average macro expansion. He combined the 1,900% gain recorded after the COVID crash with the 1,200% increase preceding the FTX collapse, producing a total of 3,100%. Dividing that figure by two resulted in an average expansion of approximately 1,550%.

Applying that percentage to the current macro structure, the analyst concluded that XRP could reach a range between $11 and $13. He emphasized that $13 is not an arbitrary target but rather the average outcome of XRP’s historical recoveries after major liquidation events.

The accompanying chart illustrates each of these market cycles, marking the COVID crash, the FTX crash, and the October 2025 liquidation event before projecting a potential move toward the $13 level if the historical pattern repeats.

Focus Remains on the Macro Structure

Egrag Crypto stressed that the six-month timeframe offers a clearer view of XRP’s long-term trend by filtering out short-term volatility. He described the recurring sequence as crash, accumulation, and expansion, maintaining that this broader structure has remained intact throughout previous market cycles.

While acknowledging that many XRP traders are focused on daily price fluctuations and market uncertainty, the analyst stated that his attention remains on the six-month macro signal.

Based on that longer-term perspective, he maintained that XRP continues to trade within the same larger structure and that the average post-crash expansion still supports a potential move toward the $13 level if historical performance repeats.

Push trillions of dollars in institutional volume, FX transactions, or DTCC settlement into that shallow pool, and spreads blow up and slippage follows.

The fix, according to this framework, is to deepen the pool by raising the unit price itself. As the source material states, “the unit value of XRP must be systemically set to a high price, $100, $200, $300 through revaluation.” According to Digital Asset Investor, “high price is liquidity itself.”

A Valuation Model Backing the Numbers

To support the case, Digital Asset Investor noted a document called the XRP Quantitative Valuation Framework, authored by someone using the name Buzz Light.

The model assumes a circulating supply of 61.22 billion XRP and a velocity range of 10 to 20. It runs four scenarios based on global financial volume that flows through XRP as settlement infrastructure.

Price Scenarios for XRP

Scenario A assumes $10 trillion in moderate integration and produces a price range of $8 to $16. Scenario B assumes $100 trillion in high global integration and produces $82 to $164. The higher scenarios move into the quadrillions, reflecting what Digital Asset Investor called extreme tokenization, with resulting price ranges climbing to $589 to $1,177, then $817 to $1,634.

Digital Asset Investor said these numbers reflect how a settlement asset scales as network transaction volume grows. He added that global financial markets already operate at scales large enough that modest infrastructure adoption could translate into major transaction volume for XRP.

Sentiment and Timing

Digital Asset Investor said he’s never felt more confident about the adoption happening behind the scenes, despite sentiment he compared unfavorably to the FTX collapse. He called that comparison a buying opportunity for XRP.

He also referenced the CLARITY Act timeline, noting the bill faces a hard deadline around August 7 before the Senate recess, with odds of passage he placed between 46% and 56%, and rising. This could open the door to more institutional volume. Whether the liquidity depth argument holds up depends on how that actually unfolds.

The Athey & Mitchnick Model builds its $4,813 figure from a conservative scenario. It assumes that 10% of global transactions run through the XRP Ledger by 2030, $700 billion in daily transaction value, one-second settlement speed, and a circulating supply of 56.5 billion XRP. Store-of-value demand under this scenario reaches $530 trillion, with a 10% discount rate applied over five years.

The cycle works in stages. Rising prices push holders to store XRP rather than sell it. That reduces the supply available for transactions, which pushes prices higher again. New use cases add fresh demand on top of that.

Hoskinson’s Comment

]]> A year-old paper about XRP’s price potential just found new relevance. Crypto commentator Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy) recently revived the argument, noting a piece by Mark Phillips saying XRP was designed for $10,000.

The timing raises a question few had considered before. What happens to that math when AI agents start transacting too?

Digital Asset Investor’s Comments

In the video, Digital Asset Investor explained that Phillips wrote his paper a long time ago. He said the paper argues XRP’s design is evidence for its price potential. He then read out the key line from the paper, a quote from XRP Ledger co-creator Arthur Britto. Britto said the XRP Ledger “must be scalable to accommodate 7.5 billion people.”

Digital Asset Investor paused on that number. He pointed out that Britto made this statement years before the current AI boom. His exact words were, “I don’t even think Arthur Britto accounted for AI agents.” He followed that by saying it’s not just 7.5 billion people anymore. There’s no telling how many billion AI agents could also end up using the network.

The Scale Argument

Digital Asset Investor’s point centers on scale. The original 7.5 billion figure was human account holders alone. His argument suggests that the number understates the real potential user base. If AI agents start transacting on the XRP Ledger the same way people do, the total demand on the network could be far higher than Britto ever accounted for in 2017.

His argument extends the analysis from Phillips’ paper. The original design case focused on the human population. Digital Asset Investor stretches that case into a new category of user that didn’t exist in any meaningful way when Britto made his original comment.

The Paper Behind the Claim

Phillips’ paper supports the number that Digital Asset Investor cited. Phillips used Britto’s 7.5 billion quote as the foundation for his argument that XRP was built for global-scale use, not retail-level trading volume. He tied this to features like XRP’s divisibility and its fast settlement times, arguing these were built for a payment network serving billions of users.

Looking Ahead

Digital Asset Investor’s video reframes a years-old design argument for the current moment. While some critics believe only Bitcoin can scale globally, Britto’s vision and the rise of AI agents could send XRP to greater heights.

]]> Crypto analyst Celal Kucuker (@CelalKucuker) believes XRP could be entering another major expansion phase based on a recurring long-term setup.

In a post on X, he described the setup as “just too perfect,” and outlined three projected all-time highs at $4.10, $7.60, and $11.80. His accompanying monthly chart relies on a repeating price structure, Fibonacci extensions, and measured percentage gains to support those targets.

The Setup for the Current Pattern

Kucuker’s chart begins with XRP falling from $0.93. The asset hit this level after the court ruled that XRP is not a security in July 2023. Following this surge, the asset began a gradual decline under a descending trendline. It remained under this structure until late 2024, when a massive rally pushed it up by more than 500%.

The asset settled above $3 for some time before peaking at $3.65, just above the Fibonacci 1.0 level of $3.52. The chart measured this surge as 517.40% between key Fibonacci levels. Following the rally, XRP entered a prolonged correction that unfolded inside a falling wedge. Despite the pullback, XRP found support near $1.05.

Focusing On the Support Zone

The highlighted area around $1.05 serves as the foundation of the analysis. XRP recently revisited that zone before producing a rebound on the monthly chart. The asset is still within the falling wedge, but the current candle shows more positive momentum than it has shown since mid-2025.

If the asset can maintain this momentum, it could finally break the extended losing streak and break out of the falling wedge toward the analyst’s targets.

Fibonacci Extensions Map Future Targets

The chart uses Fibonacci extensions to identify potential price objectives if XRP repeats its earlier performance. The 1.272 extension sits near $5.98. The 1.414 extension appears around $7.90, while the 1.618 extension reaches about $11.72.

Those levels closely match the projections in Kucuker’s post. His second target of $7.60 aligns with the 1.414 extension, while the third target of $11.80 closely matches the 1.618 extension.

Will XRP Repeat the 517% Move?

A second measured move forms the core of the analysis. Kucuker’s chart projects another gain of about 517.36% from the same support zone. Applying that percentage produces a target near the Fibonacci 1.414 extension, reinforcing the projected move toward the $7.60 to $7.90 area.

The similarity between the first rally and the projected advancement forms the basis of the bullish outlook and double-digit targets.

Offering his perspective on the issue, crypto researcher SMQKE has outlined why increasing adoption of XRP as a bridge currency could strengthen demand for the asset and support higher prices as the XRP Ledger expands.

According to SMQKE’s X post, Ripple’s own business model outlines how wider adoption of the XRP Ledger could strengthen demand for XRP over time.

The researcher pointed to XRP’s ability to facilitate transfers between unrelated currencies and payment gateways, suggesting that this utility becomes more valuable as the network expands and processes larger payment volumes.

Bridge Transactions Create Demand for XRP

In the post, SMQKE explained that XRP serves as the intermediary asset when value moves between currencies that do not share a direct trading relationship. In this process, XRP is purchased to complete one side of the transaction and sold after the transfer is completed.

The researcher stated that every bridge transaction contributes to trading activity by generating buying and selling volume. As more payments flow through XRP, liquidity across XRP trading pairs is expected to deepen on exchanges and other trading platforms. According to the post, this increase in liquidity strengthens XRP’s usefulness as a bridge asset while supporting greater transactional efficiency.

SMQKE also referenced Ripple’s assessment that broader adoption of the protocol would increase demand for XRP. The researcher noted that Ripple expects this increase in demand to contribute to price appreciation as more institutions and payment providers utilize the network.

Network Participation Adds Another Layer of Demand

Beyond its role in payments, SMQKE highlighted another source of XRP demand through the XRP Ledger’s security model. Every account on the network must maintain a reserve of XRP to exist and operate, creating a baseline level of demand that grows alongside network participation.

The post further noted that every transaction on the XRP Ledger permanently destroys a small amount of XRP through transaction fees. While these fee burns remain insignificant compared to current network activity, SMQKE suggested they could become more meaningful if the ledger reaches transaction volumes of global banking and cross-border payment systems.

According to the researcher, bridge usage, account reserve requirements, and transaction fee burns together create multiple demand drivers that strengthen as adoption increases.

SMQKE rounded up his post by emphasizing that XRP’s bridging capability represents a distinct utility within the payment ecosystem.

Quoting Ripple’s underlying concept, the researcher stated, “If every currency is liquid to XRP, it is also liquid to other currencies,” suggesting that XRP’s role as a common intermediary could become increasingly valuable if more currencies, financial institutions, and payment gateways connect through the network.

Under that model, greater protocol adoption would translate into increased demand for XRP, which the researcher said could support higher token prices over the long term.
