The DTCC tested blockchain technology against a benchmark that defines the scale of U.S. equity markets. Crypto researcher SMQKE (@SMQKE) found and connected it directly to the July production launch.

The Number at the Center of It All

The figure is 100 million. That is the average daily trading volume in U.S. equity markets. A DTCC study confirmed that blockchain and distributed ledger technology can handle that volume. SMQKE cited this in an update to an earlier post, pulling the finding back into focus ahead of the July launch.

The document he shared quoted a platform representative, Peve, who stated that distributed ledger technology enables a single source of transaction data. That eliminates the need for the multiple reconciliation phases that other systems rely on.

This is how much daily volume the DTCC will eventually run over public blockchains like the XRPL and XLM.

100 million trades.

And with the speed and efficiencies of blockchain, once the DTCC completes its internal system upgrades, daily volume will easily surpass this… https://t.co/balNZFj0CM

— SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) June 15, 2026

July Marks a New Stage

SMQKE described the July limited production launch as the first live test of blockchain at this scale. The technology moves from studied to operational. U.S. equity volumes become the proving ground.

SMQKE wrote that this is “the moment blockchain infrastructure gets battle-tested against actual U.S. equity volumes.” The launch represents real conditions, real volume, and documented results. The controlled study becomes a live deployment.

The Scale Argument for XRP

SMQKE tied the 100 million daily trade figure directly to XRP’s role in the infrastructure. The argument centers on what happens after the DTCC completes its internal system upgrades. Once those upgrades are in place, SMQKE projects that daily volume will surpass the 100 million benchmark.

The projection is a possible 10x increase in production capacity. XRP, alongside XLM, sits at the center of that projected throughput on public blockchain rails. The foundation for that scale is settlement speed. Instantaneous value settlement removes the bottlenecks that traditional systems carry. With billions of trades per day, that efficiency becomes a structural requirement.

We are on X, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1

The Infrastructure Argument

The DTCC’s platform overhaul involves cloud-based storage and distributed ledger technology. The document described the purpose directly: “By managing massive quantities of data in a much more efficient manner, it enables smoother business dealings and removes significant costs from the process.”

That upgrade path leads toward the July launch. SMQKE positions the launch as the beginning of a documented, large-scale test. The results will show whether blockchain holds at real equity market volumes.

For XRP, the argument is straightforward. The technology has been studied, and the infrastructure is being built. The launch date is set. July becomes the first live data point in what SMQKE suggests is a much larger production story, and it could be a historic month for XRP.

Ripple’s tokenization project with the Dubai Land Department has taken a significant step.

Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto (@Steph_iscrypto) shared the news on X, highlighting that a luxury apartment valued at over $1 million has been tokenized on the XRP Ledger.

The development is part of a larger government-backed initiative that is drawing attention from investors and the crypto community alike.

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) partnered with tokenization firm Ctrl Alt to make it happen. The initial pilot successfully tokenized ten properties valued at over $5 million in total, resulting in the issuance of 7.8 million tokens. Investors can now buy and sell fractional shares of luxury Dubai real estate for as little as $540.

How the Program Works

The DLD integrated directly with Ctrl Alt’s infrastructure to record property title deeds on the XRP Ledger. Every transaction syncs in real time with Dubai’s official land registry. Ripple Custody secures the backend. Zand Digital Bank serves as the banking partner, with regulatory oversight from the UAE Central Bank, Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, and the Dubai Future Foundation.

The program operates in phases. Phase one established the platform infrastructure. Phase two, launched on February 20, 2026, opened a regulated secondary market. Investors can now trade tokenized property stakes through the PRYPCO Mint portal.

Why XRP?

The XRP Ledger handles thousands of transactions per second. Transaction fees are fractions of a cent. The settlement that previously took weeks now takes seconds. These are the technical qualities that made XRPL the chosen blockchain for one of the most ambitious public-sector tokenization programs worldwide.

The DLD has outlined a plan to tokenize 7% of Dubai’s entire real estate market by 2033. That figure represents approximately $16 billion in assets. The XRP Ledger sits at the center of that roadmap.

What This Means for XRP’s Price Outlook

Real-world asset tokenization is one of the most closely watched use cases in crypto. When a government body selects a specific blockchain to power a $16 billion initiative, it signals institutional-grade confidence in that network.

The community celebrated this development, with many users highlighting the use case for XRP. Demand for XRP grows as transaction volume on the ledger increases, since XRP is used as the settlement layer. Each new property added to the program generates ledger activity, increases utility, and strengthens the case for XRP as infrastructure for traditional finance.

A post making the rounds on X this week took direct aim at a persistent claim in the XRP community. Arthur (@XrpArthur), a wealth strategist and crypto pundit, stated that mBridge has nothing to do with XRP or the XRP Ledger.

The Financial Times report he cited backs this up. It shows that mBridge runs on a custom distributed ledger technology called the mBridge Ledger, built by the participating central banks themselves.

What mBridge Is

The platform is led by Beijing and backed by the central banks of mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. A Hong Kong-based entity will oversee its operations. Fees are set at half those of conventional international payment systems. The platform has already processed roughly 470 billion yuan ($69 billion) in transactions to date.

mBridge is a state-led cross-border payment infrastructure. It transacts directly between central banks using their own digital currencies, cutting settlement times to seconds. The BIS handed the project to its partners in 2024, after which Beijing took the lead on development.

Let’s clear something up. mBridge has nothing to do with XRPL.

Built on its own ledger. Own tech. Own governance. Financial Times confirms it. No XRP. No XRPL. Never was.

I get why people wanted this to be true.
But hopium isn’t a strategy.
https://t.co/nlrgsFNCTb

— Arthur (@XrpArthur) June 14, 2026

The False XRP Connection

Arthur’s post cuts against a narrative that gained traction in parts of the XRP community that mBridge and Ripple’s technology were somehow aligned. They are not, and mBridge is sovereign infrastructure. The two were built independently, serve different principals, and operate on separate ledgers. Arthur’s message was simple: “hopium isn’t a strategy.”

XRP Army Responds

Pumpius (@pumpius), a well-known figure in the XRP army, thanked Arthur for clarifying the record. However, one commenter questioned the depth of Arthur’s research on the topic. Another took it further, providing a detailed rebuttal to Arthur’s stance.

He acknowledged the FT article’s technical accuracy while arguing the post overstates its conclusion. He noted that mBridge has graduated from the BIS and now serves as core infrastructure for BRICS+ cross-border settlement, with significant transaction volumes already recorded.

We are on X, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1

— TimesTabloid (@TimesTabloid1) June 15, 2025

He raised governance concerns, citing analyses that note heavy Chinese technical dominance over the mBridge Ledger. India, he noted, is actively pushing back in 2026 with proposals for multilateral oversight so no single country controls the validators.

Where XRP Fits In

His core point was that XRP’s relevance is not linked to mBridge. It is that XRP could serve as a neutral bridge asset between CBDCs in a fragmented, multi-polar system. The asset is fast, ISO 20022-aligned, and not controlled by any single government.

He concluded that the real open question is which bridge asset wins the liquidity and settlement layer built on top of, or alongside, platforms like mBridge.

DBS Group recently announced DBS Physical Gold Tokens, a new product for retail customers. Starting from the second half of 2026, customers will buy, trade, and redeem these tokens through the digibank app.

Each token represents 1 gram of physical gold, held in a dedicated vault in Singapore. DBS confirmed the token structure, the custody plan, and the launch window.

Notably, the bank left one detail open: which blockchain will run it. Crypto researcher SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) used the announcement to revisit a Ripple-DBS connection that predates this week’s news.

Ripple Already Works With DBS

DBS isn’t new to tokenization. In 2025, the bank listed Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, alongside sgBENJI, the tokenized money market fund by Franklin Templeton. SMQKE pointed to another collaboration between Ripple, DBS, and Franklin Templeton. This links tokenized funds and stablecoins to institutional lending workflows on the XRP Ledger, showing a working model for on-chain credit.

That project gave DBS direct experience running real-world financial products on XRPL, not just trading crypto on an exchange.

The XRP Ledger Has Tokenized Gold Before

XRPL already has a gold use case. In 2024, Meld Gold integrated with the ledger to issue tokenized gold and silver, with each token backed by 1 gram of gold held by vault providers. XRPL’s built-in decentralized exchange lets those tokens trade directly against XRP or other assets.

The ledger settles transactions in seconds. Issuers can freeze assets or require authorization, giving banks the compliance tools they need for regulated products. XRPL features like federated sidechains and an EVM sidechain could also let issuers reach both the XRPL community and developers building on Ethereum.

A Massive Opportunity for XRP

SMQKE’s post included a chart that puts this opportunity in scale. The entire cryptocurrency market is $3.2 trillion. Gold holds $35 trillion. Global stocks hold $143 trillion. Gold alone is more than 10 times bigger than the crypto market.

This presents a major opportunity for XRP. A fast, low-cost ledger with a growing presence in the tokenization space can enter that $35 trillion pool.

What Comes Next?

DBS plans to launch its tokens in the second half of 2026. The bank hasn’t named a blockchain partner yet. In addition to buying, holding, and trading around the clock, DBS said customers will be able to redeem their tokens for physical gold.

DBS has ties to Ripple, while XRP has a track record of tokenization and gold specifically. SMQKE links Ripple to DBS, suggesting that the XRPL stands out as a real option once DBS shares the technical details behind its tokenization initiative.

The XRP Ledger just got a major addition. Ripple and Bitso have launched MXNB, a peso-backed stablecoin, natively on the XRPL.

The token joins RLUSD on the ledger, bringing regulated Mexican peso liquidity directly into one of crypto’s most payments-focused ecosystems. The move targets the U.S.-Mexico remittance corridor, one of the world’s highest-volume money transfer routes.

Paul Barron Weighs In

Crypto media personality Paul Barron reacted immediately, calling the development “an absolute game-changer.” He praised the decision to launch MXNB natively on the XRPL alongside RLUSD, describing it as “a masterclass blueprint for how the rest of Latin America adopts blockchain.”

Barron did not limit his enthusiasm to cross-border payments. He positioned the announcement as significant for the future of global finance.

HUGE for the ripple:native Ledger and the future of global finance!

The announcement that @Ripple and @Bitso are launching the MXNB Mexican peso stablecoin natively on the XRPL alongside $RLUSD is an absolute game-changer. This isn't just about the U.S.–Mexico corridor; it is… https://t.co/Z0WhxFCBFP

— PaulBarron (@paulbarron) June 11, 2026

Why This Matters for XRP

The XRP Ledger now carries two regulated stablecoins. That combination gives participants on the network real liquidity options in both U.S. dollars and Mexican pesos without leaving the chain.

This development strengthens the ledger’s core value proposition of fast, low-cost settlement across borders. A more liquid XRPL attracts more activity. This activity increases demand for XRP as the bridge asset facilitating those transactions.

The U.S.-Mexico corridor processes tens of billions of dollars in remittances annually. Placing regulated peso liquidity directly on the XRPL positions Ripple and its partners to compete directly with traditional wire services and money transfer operators on that route.

XRP Army Reacts

Response from the crypto community was largely positive. One user highlighted the attention Ripple and XRP are receiving from the market, citing Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse appearing on Fox Business. This shows momentum for XRP on multiple fronts.

A more technically focused response highlighted the role of RLUSD and MXNB together on the Permissioned DEX, arguing that the pairing enables efficient U.S.-Mexico settlement without relying on traditional financial rails. He also posed a question suggesting this move could accelerate real-world asset flows across other payment corridors.

Taking XRP to New Regions

Ripple has taken a concrete step toward making the XRP Ledger a functional settlement layer for real-world currency corridors. The MXNB launch places regulated, liquid peso exposure on-chain alongside an existing dollar stablecoin. As Barron noted, this could open up a major pathway for XRP and blockchain adoption in Latin America.

This move gives the XRPL infrastructure that traditional payment networks have spent decades building. Barron’s reaction reflects what many in the space are thinking, and this is a development worth watching closely.

Mastercard’s push into AI-powered and machine-driven commerce is bringing blockchain infrastructure into a new category of payments, with Ripple appearing among the initial participants supporting the company’s Agent Pay for Machines initiative.

The development suggests growing efforts to create systems that enable autonomous transactions between AI agents, devices, and digital platforms, an area that some market observers view as an important long-term use case for blockchain technology.

Crypto commentator X Finance Bull recently highlighted the development, explaining that the integration underscores the increasing utility of the XRP Ledger even as general market conditions remain uncertain. The commentator argued that the development demonstrates how underlying infrastructure continues to evolve regardless of short-term price movements.

BREAKING $XRP Ledger is now tied into Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines

Super-fast, always-on payments for AI agents, devices, and commerce.

This is where real utility starts to matter.

Markets can bleed. Fundamentals keep building underneath.

Are you paying attention? pic.twitter.com/sHRhkcLZYm

— X Finance Bull (@Xfinancebull) June 10, 2026

Ripple Among Mastercard’s Initial Participants

The image shared alongside the post included details from Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines program. The material stated that Mastercard is collaborating with a broad group of participants and supporters to validate use cases, establish common rules, and accelerate adoption across industries.

The companies listed in the document were Ripple, Coinbase, Stripe, OKX, MoonPay, Polygon, Cloudflare, and Santander’s Getnet. Mastercard said the initiative seeks to support the next phase of digital commerce by enabling trusted digital interactions, data exchange, identity verification, and autonomous payments.

According to the information in the images, Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines is part of the company’s effort to build open infrastructure to support autonomous, agent-driven, and machine-driven transactions. The company noted that businesses should be able to adopt new technologies without sacrificing the security, reliability, and global reach associated with Mastercard’s network.

Community Members Focus on Infrastructure Development

The post also prompted reactions from several members of the cryptocurrency community. Many of whom emphasized the significance of infrastructure rather than short-term market performance.

Crypto in Focus stated that cooperation between a global payments company and a low-latency public blockchain could have lasting implications for digital asset usage.

“When a global payment giant pairs with a low-latency public ledger to settle agentic payments natively, the baseline velocity of digital assets changes permanently,” the account wrote.

Another community member, Fred Martinez, said he is more interested in the organizations building around XRP than in daily price fluctuations.

According to Martinez, developments involving Mastercard, tokenization, AI commerce, and machine-to-machine payments point to strengthening fundamentals as many investors remain focused on short-term chart movements.

X Finance Bull Sees Utility Becoming More Important

Through the post, X Finance Bull suggested that practical applications are becoming increasingly important to the long-term outlook of digital assets.

By pointing to Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines initiative and Ripple’s presence among the participants, the commentator argued that continued infrastructure development could play a greater role in determining the future value proposition of blockchain networks.

The race to dominate the tokenized real-world asset sector is becoming increasingly competitive, with blockchain networks seeking a larger share of institutional financial products moving on-chain.

Crypto pundit Xaif Crypto recently announced that the XRP Ledger has achieved a significant milestone by emerging as the leading blockchain for Ondo’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, ahead of both Ethereum and Solana in on-chain value.

In the X post, Xaif Crypto stated, “XRP Ledger is the #1 blockchain for Ondo’s tokenized US Treasury fund, surpassing Ethereum and Solana with $274M in total value held on-chain.”

Video Points to XRP Ledger’s On-Chain Treasury Holdings

During the attached video, the presenter referenced the RWA.xyz website, a platform that tracks real-world assets tokenized on public blockchains. The video directed viewers to the section covering tokenized U.S. Treasury bills and highlighted a chart comparing blockchain networks that host these assets.

According to the video, the XRP Ledger holds approximately $274 million worth of Ondo’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund on-chain. The presenter emphasized that this figure places the XRP Ledger ahead of Ethereum and Solana, making it the largest blockchain by value for that particular fund.

The speaker also noted that the fund is associated with major financial firms, including BlackRock, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton, pointing to their significant presence in the traditional asset management industry.

The video further noted that despite the XRP Ledger recording approximately $274 million in tokenized Treasury assets, only a limited number of wallets currently hold the tokens.

Community Reacts to the Development

The post generated reactions from members of the XRP community, with many viewing the reported figures as evidence of increasing institutional use of the XRP Ledger for tokenized financial products.

One commenter, GigaChadRizzGod, contrasted the XRP Ledger’s reported achievement with activity on Ethereum and Solana, writing that while users focused on meme coins and transaction fees on other networks, the XRP Ledger quietly secured the top position for Ondo’s tokenized Treasury holdings.

The commenter described the development as representing “real yield,” “real institutions,” and “real speed,” while predicting that the momentum could continue throughout 2026.

The post reflects ongoing interest in the expanding tokenized asset market, where blockchain networks compete to host financial products backed by traditional assets.

Xaif Crypto’s update has added to that conversation by highlighting the XRP Ledger’s reported leadership position in Ondo’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund based on the latest on-chain figures presented in the accompanying video.

Regulatory developments in the United States continue to attract attention across the digital asset industry, and crypto researcher SMQKE believes one proposed law could have important implications for XRP’s long-term utility.

In a tweet, the researcher highlighted sections of a report suggesting that implementing the GENIUS Act could strengthen XRP’s role in the XRP Ledger ecosystem through RLUSD usage.

The post focuses on how federal stablecoin legislation could provide greater clarity for issuers while creating conditions that encourage broader institutional adoption of regulated digital assets.

THE GENIUS ACT IMPLEMENTATION COULD AMPLIFY THE UTILITY OF XRP

— SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) June 9, 2026

SMQKE Shares Documented Analysis

According to the document shared by SMQKE, the report states that the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation in U.S. Stablecoins (GENIUS) Act seeks to establish reserve requirements, licensing frameworks, and interoperability standards for stablecoin issuers in the United States.

The highlighted passage notes that these measures are designed to integrate stablecoins such as RLUSD into mainstream finance while reducing systemic risks. The document further claims that clearer regulations could be positive for XRP because RLUSD transactions require XRP to pay network fees.

The report also claims that RLUSD transactions already account for more than 95% of stablecoin activity on the XRP Ledger. Because transaction fees are paid in XRP and permanently burned, the document suggests that growing RLUSD usage could gradually reduce XRP’s circulating supply.

SMQKE emphasized these findings in the accompanying caption, writing that the GENIUS Act implementation could amplify XRP’s utility. The researcher specifically highlighted the sections explaining that regulatory clarity and increased RLUSD adoption may strengthen XRP’s role within the network’s transaction process.

Community Commentary Focuses on Regulatory Certainty

The post also attracted commentary from Asset Insights, which argued that the legislation’s significance lies in the certainty it could provide to the market.

According to the comment, regulatory uncertainty has been one of the most persistent concerns surrounding XRP for years. The account stated that every step toward clearer rules removes another obstacle for institutions, businesses, and investors that have remained on the sidelines because of legal and regulatory questions.

The commenter added that while increased regulatory clarity could encourage broader participation in the ecosystem, whether those developments lead to immediate price appreciation is a separate issue. Instead, the focus remains on the potential for a more defined legal framework to support long-term adoption of regulated stablecoins and the infrastructure that relies on XRP for transaction fees.

Something significant is happening at the intersection of artificial intelligence and global finance. The payments infrastructure that businesses rely on is evolving, and Mastercard made that evolution official today.

The company launched Agent Pay for Machines (AP4M), a framework designed to bring governance, structure, and trust to AI-driven payments. These are payments executed autonomously, at machine speed, without direct human involvement at the point of transaction. Mastercard launched the initiative with 30+ partners, and Ripple is among them.

Ripple Confirms Its Role

Ripple responded to Mastercard’s announcement on X. The company confirmed its participation in the ecosystem and clearly outlined its contribution. “As AI agents begin transacting on behalf of businesses, payments need more than speed. They need trust, controls, and clear rules for how value moves.”

Ripple identified the XRP Ledger and RLUSD as the infrastructure it brings to the initiative. The company stated its role as helping “validate new use cases, establish common rules, and accelerate adoption.” This is active participation, as Ripple contributes blockchain-based settlement infrastructure to a network Mastercard is building for the next generation of commerce.

Agent Pay for Machines

Mastercard describes Agent Pay for Machines as a new operating model for commerce, not simply more payments volume. AI agents act on behalf of businesses, executing transactions within pre-defined parameters. Mastercard’s Verifiable Intent technology authenticates each participating agent before any transaction occurs.

The platform supports multiple settlement pathways, including traditional cards, banking infrastructure, and regulated stablecoins. That is where Ripple comes in. RLUSD, Ripple’s USD-backed stablecoin, runs natively on the XRP Ledger. It holds regulatory approval from the New York Department of Financial Services.

It is positioned as an enterprise-grade settlement asset for the kind of cross-border, agent-driven commerce this initiative enables.

We are on X, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1

What This Means for XRP and RLUSD

Inclusion in a Mastercard-led initiative with 30+ launch partners gives the XRP Ledger significant commercial exposure. Every agentic transaction routed through the XRPL infrastructure builds volume on the network. Increased demand for RLUSD as a settlement asset creates direct utility for XRP on the network. Growing transaction volume and ecosystem visibility have historically supported price appreciation for the asset.

A Partnership Built on Existing Momentum

This announcement does not arrive in isolation. Ripple and Mastercard already have an active relationship. The two companies, alongside Gemini and WebBank, currently support RLUSD-based settlement for the Gemini credit card. That system settles transactions on the XRP Ledger within seconds, replacing traditional interbank clearing.

Agent Pay for Machines extends that relationship into new territory. Agentic commerce is scaling, and Ripple and XRP are positioned inside it.

An upcoming lending protocol on the XRPL ecosystem is being prepared for formal verification, according to XRPL validator Vet, who outlined the development in a recent post on X.

The validator described the initiative as a step toward applying verification methods typically used in high-assurance environments such as aviation systems, nuclear infrastructure, and defense applications to the XRP Ledger’s lending infrastructure.

Vet stated that the technology being introduced is designed to ensure the lending protocol meets strict correctness standards before deployment. He also referred to the broader initiative as “Fortress XRP,” framing it as a security-focused approach to decentralized finance functionality built directly into the ledger’s base layer.

According to the validator, the integration of formal verification and artificial intelligence is becoming a central foundation for the next phase of institutional participation in blockchain systems. He emphasized that as the value secured by these systems increases, only the most rigorous validation tools are suitable for deployment environments where failure is not acceptable.

Vet further noted that advances in AI and verification tooling have significantly reduced the cost barriers that previously limited the use of such methods, making them more accessible for blockchain engineering and validation processes.

XRPL Developer Vito Tumas Details Verification Methodology

Supporting the discussion, software engineer Vito Tumas provided additional technical context describing how formal verification is being applied to the upcoming lending protocol and single-asset vault systems. In his explanation, he stated that traditional testing approaches are insufficient for decentralized finance protocols embedded at the base layer of a blockchain network.

Tumas explained that, unlike systems in which decentralized finance is deployed through external smart contracts, the XRPL integrates financial primitives directly into its core C++ implementation. He noted that while vulnerabilities in external contracts can often be isolated, issues in layer-one code can propagate across the entire network, increasing systemic risk and raising the importance of correctness guarantees.

He also highlighted that traditional testing is constrained by human-defined scenarios, which cannot fully cover the near-infinite state space of complex financial systems.

We are on X, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1

To address this limitation, the development team, in collaboration with Common Prefix, is building a formal abstract model of the protocol. This model acts as a verification “oracle” that continuously evaluates the underlying xrpld implementation for correctness against defined specifications.

Toward Spec-Driven Development and Validator Governance

Tumas added that early results from this verification process have already identified edge cases not captured through conventional testing methods. The long-term objective, he said, is to advance toward spec-driven development, where system behavior is defined and validated against mathematical proofs rather than test coverage alone.

He further suggested that formal verification could strengthen network governance by providing XRPL validators with a clearer and more objective standard when evaluating protocol amendments.
