XRP could be on course for a major move if its long-term chart continues to follow a pattern that has developed over several years.

Data analyst and financial chartist Celal Kucuker (@CelalKucuker) believes the asset remains in a strong position, stating that “XRP reaching $17 this bull run is not a crazy prediction.”

In a recent post on X, the analyst argued that XRP continues to display significant strength despite recent price consolidation. He also suggested that the asset could eventually challenge Ethereum’s position in the cryptocurrency rankings if the current trend remains intact.

Long-Term Trendline Remains Intact

The weekly XRP chart shared by Kucuker highlights a structure that stretches back to 2017. A rising red support trendline connects major lows across multiple market cycles, while a descending black resistance line capped price action for years.

The chart shows XRP breaking above that long-term resistance during its late 2024 rally. Following the breakout, the asset surged to above $3 before entering a corrective phase. Rather than showing a complete trend reversal, the chart presents the current pullback as a retest of the former resistance area.

XRP now trades just above the black resistance line, with the long-term resistance acting as a key technical foundation. Bouncing off this level and turning it to support could kickstart a massive move with a double-digit target.

A Path Toward a New High

The analyst’s chart outlines a projected recovery path from current levels. The first notable level appears near $1.30, where XRP has currently established support. This level has held through multiple downturns in 2026, and the asset must maintain it for the next rally to happen.

From there, the projection points toward a move to a new all-time high of $3.878. Intriguingly, this target is the midpoint of a long-term ascending channel that has guided XRP’s price movement since 2018. A successful push above that zone would place XRP in price discovery territory.

$17 Target Sits Within Long-Term Channel

Kucuker’s projected path places the next major advance near the upper boundary of that channel. The target shown on the chart sits around $17.53. Kucuker expressed confidence in XRP’s relative strength compared with the rest of the market.

For now, the chart places attention on whether XRP can hold its long-term support zone and resume the uptrend. If the structure continues to develop as projected, XRP could regain its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency.

Something big may be building around XRP. Crypto expert Crypto Bitlord (@crypto_bitlord7) posted to his followers that XRP is “one announcement away from teleporting,” citing a recent period of quiet that historically precedes major moves. His alerts are set, and he expects a big month ahead.

That anticipation has a foundation. Ripple has spent the last 1.5 years executing one of the most aggressive expansion campaigns in crypto history.

Record-Breaking Acquisitions

Ripple deployed billions on acquisitions in 2025. In April, it acquired Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, becoming the first crypto company to own a global multi-asset prime broker. In 2025, the platform cleared $3 trillion annually for more than 300 institutional clients, and Ripple has since rebranded it as Ripple Prime.

Then came Rail in August for $200 million. Rail processed approximately 10% of the global B2B stablecoin payments market. In October, Ripple acquired GTreasury, a corporate treasury platform used by multinational companies worldwide, for $1 billion. A month later, it acquired Palisade, a London-based digital asset custodian.

Each deal expanded Ripple’s institutional reach. Each deal deepened XRP and RLUSD integration across corporate finance.

Licenses Secured Across Three Continents

The acquisitions did not operate in isolation. Over the same period, Ripple secured payment licenses in Singapore, the UAE, and the UK. It received conditional approval for a national trust bank charter in the U.S. Ripple says it now holds more than 75 regulatory licenses globally.

In early 2026, Ripple continued expanding in APAC. In March, it announced the acquisition of BC Payments Australia to obtain an Australian Financial Services License. Ripple said its APAC payments volume nearly doubled year-over-year in 2025, contributing to more than $100 billion in processed volume across over 60 markets.

SBI Holdings also signed a memorandum of understanding in August 2025 to bring RLUSD to Japan. Dubai Land Department partnered with Ripple to tokenize real estate on the XRP Ledger.

What Comes Next?

CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated in November 2025 that Ripple would “slow down the acquisition binge in 2026.” That shift in focus raises a natural question. With the infrastructure now in place, the licenses secured, and the institutional stack built, attention turns to what Ripple does with it.

Crypto Bitlord believes the quiet period is a signal. The community is watching, eagerly anticipating Ripple’s next move. If history holds, the next major announcement could be the one that moves markets.
