Rising Institutional Adoption

Goldman tops the list. Jane Street Group follows at $16.6 million. Jane Street’s $16.6 million disclosure carries a different weight than a standard institutional allocation. The firm operates as a market maker. Its positions across multiple XRP ETF products simultaneously reflect involvement in the ecosystem liquidity structure.

Millennium Management reports $16.2 million. Intesa Sanpaolo, one of Europe’s largest banks, discloses $14.4 million. Wells Fargo, which manages $2.1 trillion in total assets, holds $9.18 million in the Bitwise XRP ETF across two positions. Citadel Advisors comes in at $1.85 million.

Nate Garacci’s Position

Digital Asset Investor highlighted a post from Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Store. Geraci called it “still wild” that BlackRock is “refusing to launch spot crypto ETFs other than Bitcoin and Ethereum, not even an index-based crypto ETF.” He cited the firm’s ETF success as the reason the current posture carries risk.

He concluded that he is “standing by my prediction that they capitulate at some point and launch additional spot crypto ETFs.”

The Robbie Mitchnick Connection

Digital Asset Investor expanded on Garacci’s post, focusing on Robbie Mitchnick. Mitchnick moved from BlackRock to Ripple. He produced a valuation of XRP in 2018 while still at BlackRock. Digital Asset Investor says that document reveals an understanding of XRP’s technical advantages and positions it favorably against Bitcoin.

Digital Asset Investor’s take on Mitchnick is clear: “This guy knows.” He added that Mitchnick “clearly, inside of that valuation, talks about all the advantages.” This report, co-authored by Susan Athey, puts XRP’s fair-market value at $4,813.

Digital Asset Investor claims that institutional knowledge about XRP already exists inside Ripple through someone who came directly from BlackRock.

Goldman Sachs Reports $86.5M Across Five XRP ETFs

According to CryptoSensei, Goldman Sachs reported approximately $86.5 million in XRP ETF exposure across five products. The reported positions include about $25.76 million in the Bitwise XRP ETF, $25 million in the Franklin Templeton XRP ETF, and $19.49 million in the Canary Capital XRP ETF.

The remaining exposure includes approximately $8.21 million in the 21Shares XRP ETF and $7.65 million in the Grayscale XRP Trust. Together, the five positions account for roughly $86.5 million.

CryptoSensei described the disclosure as a significant institutional signal because regulated XRP products are now appearing within the portfolios of major financial institutions. He also emphasized that the filing does not mean that Goldman Sachs intends to maintain the position indefinitely.

Crypto expert Chad Steingraber outlined the ETF acquisitions. The Franklin XRP Trust holds $25.4 million. Bitwise XRP ETF accounts for $25.8 million. The Canary XRP ETF carries $19.5 million. The 21Shares XRP ETF stands at $8.2 million. The Grayscale XRP Trust rounds out the five at $7.6 million.

The latest filing from the Franklin XRP Trust shows a significant increase in its XRP holdings, with the fund holding more than 225 million XRP by the end of the second quarter.

Crypto researcher BankXRP highlighted the figures from Franklin’s latest quarterly report, pointing to the scale of XRP accumulation taking place through the investment product.

The document displayed by BankXRP on X showed Franklin XRP Trust held 225.37 million XRP as of June 30, 2026. That represents a substantial increase from the 159.66 million XRP reported for the first quarter. The trust therefore added approximately 65.71 million XRP during the quarter.

The filing identifies the Franklin XRP Trust as a series of Franklin XRP Trust, sponsored by Franklin Holdings, LLC. Its shares trade under the ticker XRPZ on the NYSE Arca.

225.37 Million XRP Held

BankXRP reported that the trust’s XRP position reached 225.37 million tokens at the end of June. The post also cited a $410.97 million cost basis and a $236.48 million fair value for the holdings based on the filing.

The trust had 20.75 million shares outstanding at the reporting date. The increase in XRP held therefore represents a substantial expansion in the underlying assets supporting the investment product compared with the previous quarter.

The quarterly increase of 65.71 million XRP is the central figure highlighted by BankXRP. Rather than focusing only on the dollar value associated with an investment product, the researcher emphasized the number of XRP being accumulated.

Militia Capital’s filing fits a pattern emerging in 2026. Multiple institutions have now disclosed XRP ETF positions through SEC filings, each one arriving independently and through different product structures.

Gallacher Capital Management reported 86,744 shares in the Canary XRP ETF at a value of $961,126 in its Q2 13F-HR. Brookstone Capital Management holds a disclosed XRP ETF position as well.

Citadel disclosed 34,900 call options on the Canary XRP ETF in a 13F filed earlier in 2026. The firm had closed its put options entirely.  Bank of Montreal filed a Form 13F-HR for Q2 2026 on August 12, covering the period ending June 30.

Bitrue has also reported that Franklin Templeton clients purchased $5.66 million worth of XRP. The seven U.S. spot XRP ETFs have seen record-breaking performance this year, with cumulative net inflows in the billions.

The Bitwise Product

Militia Capital’s position sits specifically in the Bitwise XRP ETF. Bitwise has consistently led XRP ETF inflow data in 2026. On July 16, Bitwise recorded $4.41 million in a single day of net inflows, the highest of any XRP ETF product that day. Militia Capital’s 31,820 shares represent a deliberate allocation to the leading product by flow volume.

Bitrue recently reported that Franklin Templeton clients bought $5.66 million worth of XRP. The purchase comes as XRP ETFs continue attracting institutional capital at a steady pace. The Franklin Templeton purchase fits into a pattern that SEC filings have been confirming for months. Citadel filed a 13F disclosing 34,900 call options on the Canary XRP ETF. The firm closed its put options entirely. Analyst Xaif Crypto noted that Citadel had removed “the safety net” while keeping bullish exposure active.

Gallacher Capital Management followed with its own disclosure. The firm’s Q2 2026 13F-HR, filed with the SEC in July, showed 86,744 shares in the Canary XRP ETF at a reported value of $961,126. That position sits alongside holdings in BlackRock, Blackstone, Broadcom, and Caterpillar.
