Congratulating Shiba Inu on its third anniversary, the multipurpose payment app disclosed that since 2022, after sealing a partnership with the meme crypto platform, it has continually enabled the firm’s 5.5M users to buy, exchange, and spend at over 81 million retailers globally.

The Shiba Inu team acknowledged the post from Wirex and urged users to patronize the service.

In addition, the video captioned by Wirex revealed that the SHIB users on the payment platform are getting rewarded instantly for patronizing the platform.

It should be noted that Wirex supports more than 250 crypto assets, and users are eligible to earn about 8% in rewards for every Wirex ATM card transaction involving SHIB or other crypto assets.

SHIB Adoption Appears To Grow With Each Passing Day 

Over the past few months, there has been a rise in the adoption of Shiba Inu (SHIB). Most significant is the strategic partnership between BitPay and Sardine in July. 

The sealed collaboration between Sardine and BitPay aims to enable instant settlements and card payments for SHIB in over 180 countries, enabling daily transactions with better authorizations and low transfer charges of up to $3,000 for BitPay users.

This strategic and global partnership, sealed on Monday, makes the London-based company a member of Visa in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and the United Kingdom. As a bonafide member of Visa, Wirex is now well-positioned to pilot new blockchain drives and offer novel ingenious products to enhance the daily utilization of crypto by users. 

It’s worth noting that Wirex has the majority of its customers based in the United Kingdom while its customer base is recording rapid growth in the Asia-Pacific region. “The agreement between Wirex and Visa will support further collaboration in major markets, including APAC, UK, Europe, and the USA,” part of the press release read. 

Particularly, Visa will enable the cryptocurrency payment services provider, Wirex, to directly hand out crypto-powered debit and prepaid cards to its over 5 million customers in over 40 countries. Wirex believes that this partnership with Visa will fuel them to empower everyone to access the benefits of crypto.

However, the two companies are not working together for the first time. Per the update, Wirex became the first company in the world to develop a crypto-enabled card and this was in 2015. Since then, at over 80 million locations where Visa is accepted, users could buy, sell and spend multiple crypto assets using the card.

According to the report, Wirex’s 4.5 million users now have access to the second-largest meme token, Shiba Inu (SHIB), and five other digital currencies, including Terra (LUNA), Cosmos (ATOM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Orchid Protocol (OXT), and Enjin Coin (ENJ).

Adam Aron wrote, “This might rev up the Cryptocurrency fans amongst you. AMC IT says that BitPay will be live for AMC online payments on our website by March 19, and live on our mobile apps by April 16. Possibly a few days earlier. BitPay, and therefore soon AMC, accepts Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.”
