Standard Chartered has revised its XRP price targets through 2030. The bank now projects XRP reaching $7 in 2027, $12.60 in 2028, $19.60 in 2029, and $28 by 2030. That represents a 25x increase on the asset over roughly 3.3 years from current levels.
Digital asset researcher Ripplesinwales shared the updated targets, noting that Standard Chartered is proposing this trajectory for XRP.
The revision places one of the world’s largest financial institutions on record with a structured, multi-year outlook for the asset.

How the Community Is Responding
The targets drew mixed reactions from the XRP community. Some holders welcomed the institutional recognition. Others pushed back hard on the projected ceiling.
Commentator Quantum called the $28 target “shit after 17 years.” Martin Sram questioned the targets against the $1,000 predictions that circulate in XRP communities. Apache XRP noted that XRP’s price performance has been “pathetic” given its partnerships, ETF developments, the conclusion of its legal case, and consistent positive news, and said the asset “should be at least $7 now.”
Charles Hall went further, stating that if XRP does not reach three or four digits by year-end, holders should consider rotating into other assets.
Why the Forecast Still Carries Weight
Not everyone dismissed the numbers. Commentator Xrp_Biker took a different view: “A major bank putting multi-year XRP targets on paper says a lot about how the asset is viewed now.”
That perspective holds weight regardless of where individual price expectations sit. Standard Chartered is not a fringe analyst or a social media account.
It is a global bank with institutional clients, and it has now attached specific dollar figures to XRP across a four-year window. That level of coverage reflects a shift in how traditional finance engages with the asset.
Xrp_Biker added that forecasts are forecasts, but “the adoption keeping pace is the part to enjoy.”
What the Targets Represent
A 25x projection over 3.3 years is significant on its own terms. Critics pointing to $28 as a low ceiling are measuring it against community-driven expectations that have circulated for years. Standard Chartered is measuring it against current market conditions and institutional adoption curves.
The gap between those two reference points explains most of the frustration in the comments. Community holders and institutional analysts are not working from the same baseline.
Ripplesinwales closed with a simple read on the trajectory: “Slow and steady wins the race.”
Whether that pace satisfies the XRP community is another matter. The bank has made its position clear.
