As a report has it, the Solana network is currently facing a fresh outage after the production of new blocks ceased. However, Solana team is currently taking measures to mitigate the situation.
Going by the data provided by Solana Beach block explorer, Solana’s validators have not processed new blocks for the past five hours, making all applications on the network shut down.
As recently tweeted by Solana Status, the mainnet beta now needs a restart from validators.

What Solana Team Is Doing To Mitigate the Situation?
To mitigate this situation, the Solana team has asked validators to restart the network. It has released instructions for validators, which includes taking a snapshot of a specific time slot from where the network can be rebooted.
In an update moments ago on Twitter, Solana Status wrote:
“Earlier today a bug in the durable nonce transactions feature led to nondeterminism when nodes generated different results for the same block, which prevented the network from advancing.
“Engineers are readying new releases (v1.9.28/v1.10.23) which temporarily disables the durable nonce transactions feature until a patch is released.
“Network state is secure, as are funds. Validator operators are coordinating a restart from the highest confirmed block in public on mb-validators in Discord.”
Validator Operators Successfully Completed a Cluster Restart of Mainnet Beta
A few minutes ago, Solana Status pointed out that Validator operators have successfully completed a cluster restart of Mainnet Beta. According to the report, the restart played out at 9:00 PM UTC.
“Validator operators successfully completed a cluster restart of Mainnet Beta at 9:00 PM UTC, following a roughly 4 and a half hour outage after the network failed to reach consensus. Network operators an dapps will continue to restore client services over the next several hours.”
