In a recent tweet, Lucie shared a brief video showcasing the progress of the development team. This teaser is intended to build excitement for a more substantial future reveal, hinting at potentially significant upcoming announcements related to SHIB: The Metaverse. While specifics remain under wraps, Lucie did suggest that TREAT, a new token within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, will play a central role in the project’s future.

TREAT Token: Multi-Purpose Functionality
TREAT is currently under development and is designed to serve several purposes within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Last month, Lucie offered some insights into these functionalities. TREAT is expected to provide liquidity for the upcoming SHI stablecoin, while also replacing BONE as the official reward token for ShibaSwap, the Shiba Inu decentralized exchange (DEX).
In addition, TREAT will serve as a reward token for users participating in SHIB: The Metaverse and for players of the Shiba Eternity blockchain game, a collectible card game featuring Shiba Inu theming.
The official launch date for TREAT remains undisclosed, and the development team has repeatedly cautioned the community against scams involving TREAT; the token is not yet available for trading.
