Scammers have cunningly impersonated Shiba Inu team members by sending deceptive emails to unsuspecting users. These fraudulent emails often contain links to counterfeit websites or phishing scams, designed to make SHIB holders reveal their sensitive information.

To protect themselves, users are strongly advised not to click on links from unfamiliar senders. In the event of receiving an email claiming to be from the Shiba Inu team, it is crucial to directly contact the team using a verified communication method in order to verify the legitimacy of the email.

Poloniex Targeted by Scammers

Unfortunately, scammers have not limited their endeavors to targeting individual users alone. Recently, hackers have set their sights on exchanges that list Shiba Inu (SHIB). In a brazen attempt, scammers offered Poloniex, a renowned exchange, a whopping $160,000 to list a non-existent “Fantom Chain” version of SHIB.

This audacious scam attempt underscores the extent to which scammers are going to exploit the popularity of Shiba Inu for their own illicit gain.

Shiba Inu Community Admin Issues Warning

Sounding the alarm, Shiba Inu community admin RagnarShib has also issued a warning about the prevalence of scams. He emphasized that Shiba Inu does not have any affiliation with a Fantom Chain version, and furthermore, there is no official LinkedIn account associated with the project. RagnarShib seeks to ensure the community remains well-informed and vigilant against fraudulent schemes.
