Shiba Inu Team Member Releases Latest Update Regarding Shibarium Launch: Details

The highly anticipated scaling solution built on the Shiba Inu layer-2 network is almost set to be rolled out on the mainnet. Shibarium promises to improve the scalability and security of the Shiba Inu network as well as contribute to the growth of SHIB, hence the growing enthusiasm for the developing project.

In a recent update shared by a top Shiba Inu ecosystem official and influencer Lucie, the Shibarium mainnet launch is around the corner. This is contrary to the belief that the layer-2 scaling solution might take a long time before being released.

Particularly, Lucie published a snapshot containing some acknowledgments made by a lead Shiba Inu team member on the community’s Discord group regarding Shibarium. The anonymous Shibarium developer with the ID “Shibarium1” who reacted to the “Wen Shibarium” question commonly asked by the ShibArmy said the project’s launch is closer than expected.

According to Shibarium1, the team will fast-track the release date of Shibarium given that the project — which is currently in the testing phase — is looking good. Reacting to queries about the Shibarium launch, the anonymous admin wrote, “It is closer than what you expect and we are speeding the time of releasing it since things are going in a good direction in testing.”

Although no specific date was disclosed, the ShibArmy is hopeful that Shibarium would be rolled out this year. Notably, the expectations are high given that the layer-2 project pledges to burn voluminous amounts of the Shiba Inu token.

The project will also give Bone Shibaswap (BONE) an added utility as the team announced that BONE will be the only token accepted for gas fees on the Shibarium network.

More so, Shiba Inu proponents are advised to desist from interacting with any website that looks like Shibarium as the project is yet to be launched on mainnet.
