A fresh perspective on the recent Shibarium attacks reveals the involvement of PawSwap, according to DaVinci, a pseudonymous Discord admin of Shiba Inu.
In a recent Discord message, DaVinci points fingers at PawSwap, claiming they have been funding and carrying out attacks on Shibarium, the Shiba Inu layer-2 scaling solution.
DaVinci alleges that PawSwap managed to infiltrate the Shiba Inu community by impersonating another project called PawZone. The similarity in the project names and their native tokens with the ticker PAW made it easier for PawSwap to deceive community members.

The motive behind this impersonation, according to DaVinci, was twofold. First, it allowed PawSwap to actively attack Shibarium, causing disruptions and instilling doubt among its users. Second, it provided a platform for PawSwap to spread false and malicious information about the layer-2 project, potentially tarnishing its reputation.
It is important to note that DaVinci emphasizes that PawZone is a legitimate project while alleging that PawSwap is a scam. This statement represents DaVinci’s personal opinion.
The revelation by DaVinci regarding PawSwap’s involvement triggered varied reactions within the Shiba Inu community. Many community members expressed their support for PawZone, stating that the legitimate project should not be associated with the fraudulent actions of PawSwap.
In recent times, Shibarium has encountered technical issues, which bad actors have exploited to spread false information. One such instance involved a fake screenshot claiming that Shiba Inu’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, admitted to issues with the Shibarium Bridge. However, Kusama promptly dismissed this misinformation, clarifying that the screenshot was fabricated.
Kaal Dhairya, Shiba Inu’s top developer, has taken steps to hold the culprits behind this misinformation accountable. Dhairya has reached out to the team behind the X platform (formerly Twitter) to help identify those responsible for spreading such FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).

In conclusion, the identification of PawSwap as the entity responsible for funding and executing attacks on Shibarium sheds light on the malicious activities spearheaded by unknown con artists within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
As the community rallies behind the legitimate PawZone project and works to counter false information, Shibarium’s resilience and the efforts of the Shiba Inu team to address these challenges showcase their commitment to maintaining a secure and trustworthy environment for their users.
