Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, expressed his excitement as the Shibarium testnet, known as Puppynet, achieved a remarkable milestone with over 31 million transactions.
This accomplishment has caused a stir among the ShibArmy, as user activity and connected wallets continue to rise on Shibarium, the Shiba Inu Layer 2 (L2) network.
On July 20, Cryptolight took to Twitter to announce the latest achievements of the Shibarium testnet. According to the update, the total number of transactions on Puppynet surpassed 31 million, accompanied by over 17 million connected wallet addresses.
An accompanying snapshot revealed that exactly 31,070,665 transactions were executed on the Shibarium testnet, with 17,062,340 wallet addresses connected. Additionally, the total blocks produced on the testnet amounted to 1,768,423, displaying an average block time of 7.4 seconds.
Reacting to these impressive numbers, Shytoshi Kusama expressed his excitement with an emoji, reflecting his enthusiasm about the progress.
Within just four days, the Shibarium testnet witnessed the execution of over one million additional transactions, bringing the total to 32,016,335 transactions.
Today alone, 256,001 transactions were conducted, as reported by the network explorer Puppyscan. The number of connected wallet addresses also experienced a slight increase, reaching 17,062,515. Meanwhile, the total blocks on Puppynet reached 1,821,866 by July 24.
These heightened levels of engagement on Puppynet are occurring as the anticipated launch of the Shibarium mainnet draws closer. Kusama previously hinted at the live deployment of the Layer 2 scaling solution during the upcoming Blockchain Futuristic Conference in Toronto, scheduled for August.
Given these positive developments, Cryptolight and other community members are optimistic about the future of Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens, such as SHIB, BONE, and LEASH. Cryptolight confidently stated, “We will see positive price events in the coming weeks of SHIB, BONE, and LEASH.”
As of press time, SHIB is trading at $0.00000765, with about a 3% decrease in the past 24 hours. Speculations from Fintech specialists suggest that the launch of the Shibarium mainnet could potentially trigger a rally in the SHIB price, but only time will tell if this proves to be true.
