At the recently concluded Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto, Shiba Inu lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, expressed his thanks to the Cardano creator, Charles Hoskinson.
This notable event spanned 2 days and was graced by many leading figures in the cryptocurrency world, with Hoskinson being one of the notable attendees.
Kusama made his feelings public on platform X, where he thanked Hoskinson for a specific “intro and confirmation” during the August conference.

While Kusama didn’t delve into the specifics of what this entailed, his message resonated with numerous supporters of Shiba Inu, often referred to as the ShibArmy, who also shared their appreciation for the Cardano founder.

What’s clear from Kusama’s statement, though not in detail, is the continuous dedication and effort by the Shiba Inu team towards their goal. As Kusama succinctly put it “We don’t just talk about it; we are about it.”
Ringoshi Toitsu, who manages the Unification validator, joined in praising Hoskinson, humorously suggesting he would endorse Hoskinson for a presidential role.
It’s significant to mention that Hoskinson delivered a key address at the same conference. He shared insights on the topic, “Governance: Building More Inclusive Models.” Following his address, there was a revelation about the Summer of Shibarium’s wrap-up party at the same conference.
The Shiba Inu squad, made up of Marcie Jastrow, Khal Dhairya, Dawa Riley, Terry, and Kusama, also presented. Their talk, titled “Shibarium & The End Game”, primarily centered on SHIB’s broader vision.

Shibarium Now Active On Mainnet
Another highlight of the event was the launch of Shibarium on the Mainnet. This layer-2 scaling solution from Shiba Inu saw its debut at the Blockchain Futurist Conference, much to the joy of its planning team. Although the inception of Shibarium has not yet reflected on the SHIB’s market value, the enthusiasm within the Shiba Inu community is palpable.
Shibarium is strategically designed to optimize transactions on its network, and there’s a strong belief, especially among influential figures like top Bitcoiner Davinci Jeremie, that this could be a significant leap forward for SHIB.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. As highlighted by reports, the launch faced challenges when a staggering 965 ETH became stuck on-chain.
