Vet (@Vet_X0), an XRP Ledger (XRPL) validator, pointed out a crucial detail: anyone can create labels for accounts on blockchain explorers. These labels do not represent any form of official verification or confirmation of ownership.
The official X account of XRPScan, a leading blockchain explorer for XRP, further elaborated on the issue. They stated that it is highly improbable that the “~musk” wallet belongs to Elon Musk.
They drew a parallel with traditional email addresses and domain names, highlighting that anyone could theoretically claim an address like “[email protected]” or “elonmusk.com” if they were the first to register it.

Impact on the XRP Community
Despite the swift debunking from experts, some within the XRP community continue to hold onto the belief that the “~musk” wallet might indeed belong to the tech billionaire.
