Ripple (XRP) Can Access SWIFT and Federal Reserve Via This Major Integration

A new post from crypto researcher SMQKE (@SMQKEDQG) has put a relatively obscure financial technology company at the center of a significant discussion about Ripple and XRP.

SMQKE shared screenshots from ECS Fin’s platform listing Ripple as a “Ready Application” alongside SWIFT, FedACH, Fedwire, FedNow, and Mastercard.

The images show Ripple sitting on the same platform as some of the most established payment rails in global finance. That placement is the basis of SMQKE’s point.

ECS Fin and Its Role in Global Payments

ECS Fin is a leading provider of payment processing solutions, serving financial institutions and corporations globally for more than two decades. The company specializes in messaging and transaction processing services. It connects banks to various payment networks like Fedwire, SWIFT, and ACH.

It holds Premier Certified status from SWIFT and has built-in support for ISO 20022, the global financial messaging standard now mandatory across major payment networks. In October 2025, ECS Fin achieved SWIFT Compatible Application status for its IMS Payments platform.

Ripple’s Position on the Platform

SMQKE’s post highlights that Ripple appears on ECS Fin’s platform as a Ready Application. That status means ECS Fin has built out the technical infrastructure to support Ripple’s payment system. Banks using ECS Fin’s system can route payments through Ripple’s XRP-powered network the same way they would route them through FedNow or Fedwire.

Ripple does not yet hold a direct master account with the Federal Reserve. It gains access through intermediaries that do, using them as on-ramps to real-time payment rails. ECS Fin functions as one of those intermediaries. Its platform connects Ripple and XRP to the same institutional infrastructure that banks already rely on daily.

In July, the Federal Reserve’s Fedwire Funds Service officially transitioned to the ISO 20022 messaging format. Ripple already complies with ISO 20022. That shared standard is what makes its inclusion on a platform like ECS Fin technically viable.

The Significance of the Listing

Ripple is not knocking at the door of the global payment system. It is listed alongside the institutions that run it on the ECS Fin platform. Industry data indicates that over 70% of FedNow service providers maintain existing ties to Ripple, either directly or through vendors, amplifying Ripple’s influence in the U.S. instant payments landscape.

Ripple has also applied for a Fed Master account, which would enable it to use the Federal Reserve’s payment rails for its stablecoin operations. Combined with its presence on ECS Fin’s platform, the picture is one of a company steadily building institutional access on multiple fronts.
