Ripple Joins Forces with SpaceX Partner in New XRP Project: Details

Ripple, the San Francisco-based cross-border payment firm, has joined forces with Jared Isaacman, a SpaceX partner in response to the crisis in Maui. XRP has become one of the crypto donation options for the Maui Emergency Response Fund with Ripple pledging to match contributions.

In a surprising and pleasant twist, Ripple, best known for its popular cryptocurrency, XRP, has allied with Jared Isaacman, a close associate of the SpaceX and Tesla visionary, Elon Musk.

Jared Isaacman, the billionaire and founder of Shift4 Payments, was the commander of the Inspiration4 spaceflight which flew to orbit in 2021 using SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Resilience. This was a private spaceflight and part of a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Isaacman also pledged $100 million to support the fundraiser. Now, in his partnership with Ripple, he’s looking to do more good.

Ripple shared this news in a post on its official X account announcing that users could now donate to charities using XRP.

It also stated that the next $50,000 in donations will be matched by 200% in conjunction with Isaacman. The firm also linked to The Maui Emergency Response Fund page on The Giving Block, a notable crypto donation and Shift4 platform.

In a post on X, a popular XRP community member, JackTheRippler (@RippleXrpie), also shared the news that a partner of SpaceX had joined hands with Ripple in a new XRP Project.

The reaction from the XRP community looks favorable with XRPcryptowolf (@XRPcryptowolf) posting, “It’s nice seeing Ripple donating and helping people. They’re actually one of the good companies in the crypto industry.”

Another user stated that this is the future we’ve been waiting for. A future where we can harness the power of cryptocurrencies to save lives.

The sales manager of The Giving Block, NICK @TheGivingBlock (@mikhalevsky) also replied saying, “Let’s go @Ripple and the amazing #XRP community!”

This charitable endeavor has the support of most of the XRP community and at the time of writing, over $70,850 has been donated to the Maui Emergency Response Fund that Ripple was matched with, adding up to over $141,700.

Although this collaboration between these two parties does not imply a relationship between them, it has left some users speculating. This might just be one of many future collaborations between the billionaire and the crypto juggernaut.
