To show the importance of the upcoming XRP Victory Party scheduled to be held today in New York, Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, has unveiled a tattoo specially inscribed for the much-awaited celebration. He also addressed the rumor related to the possible announcement(s).
Recall that July 13 was a remarkable day for Ripple, the San Francisco-based cross-border payment firm and the teeming XRP Army. It was the day Judge Analisa Torres declared that XRP was not a security.
Torres defined that all XRP sold on the secondary markets, especially on crypto exchanges, cannot be termed as securities. Although it seems to be an incomplete victory for Ripple as a firm as its past sales of XRP to institutional clients were labeled securities, the community deemed it fit to throw a big party for the most important victory.
What could be tagged as the most important victory in the verdict? The fact that the judge removed the security stigma from XRP for people to address it as a digital asset was a notable victory that called for celebration.

A few hours ago, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse took to X to share his excitement ahead of the victory party in New York today.
According to Garlinghouse, the upcoming party is organized to remind the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the court decisions on the ongoing lawsuit matter.
Brad Garlinghouse noted, “Looking forward to seeing many of you tonight at the Proper Party — excited to bring people together to celebrate what we’ve collectively achieved, a reminder to the SEC that court decisions matter, and that progress is worth fighting for!”
In the same thread of tweets, the Ripple CEO displayed the logo of XRP he tattooed on his right arm. He further clarified that the party is mainly arranged for celebration and not for any announcement that people wonder about.
Garlinghouse said, “And as for any “announcement” that people are wondering about, tonight’s event is just a celebration…but I will share my recent addition.”
The speculation of announcements at the XRP Victory Party was ignited by Ripple CTO David Schwartz in a tweet on September 6 after a supposed XRP community member shared predictions for the party.
The XRP enthusiast wrote out five predictions:
In response to the agitated XRP enthusiast, Ripple CTO said only two of those predictions will happen. Afterward, it became widespread that Ripple would likely announce a full settlement with the SEC and an Initial Public Offering (IPO) during the Victory Party.
As things stand now, no one knows the special thing that the party holds for the XRP community until after the party. Whether today will be a day to remember for the anticipating community members, time will tell.
