A short exchange involving BlackRock CEO Larry Fink and XRP has resurfaced after crypto enthusiast Good Evening Crypto highlighted the clip in a post on X. The video shows a Fox interview in which the interviewer asks Fink whether BlackRock could launch another cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund, specifically mentioning XRP.
The interviewer first asks whether BlackRock would pursue another ETF. He then asks, “How about an XRP ETF?” Fink responds, “I can’t.” When the interviewer presses him for an answer, Fink again declines to comment, saying, “I can’t,” before the interview moves on.
Good Evening Crypto accompanied the clip with the comment, “The More I Watch This BlackRock Clip, The More Interesting It Gets For XRP.” The post presents Fink’s refusal to answer as an interesting detail for XRP holders, although the video itself does not confirm that BlackRock plans to launch an XRP ETF.

BlackRock Still Has No XRP ETF Filing
The clip has gained attention in the expanding spot XRP ETF market, but BlackRock has not filed for a spot XRP ETF. The asset manager continues to concentrate its cryptocurrency ETF offerings on Bitcoin and Ethereum through products such as the iShares Bitcoin Trust and iShares Ethereum Trust.
Meanwhile, other asset managers have already entered the XRP ETF market. Seven spot XRP ETFs, including offerings from 21Shares, Bitwise and Canary Capital, are currently trading. The market has accumulated more than $1.55 billion in net inflows, while total assets stand at roughly $1.4 billion.
Industry analysts and ETF executives have suggested that BlackRock generally prefers to see significant liquidity and scale before entering a new segment. Reports show the firm could be waiting for the broader XRP ETF market to approach $3 billion in assets before considering its own product.
Debate Over the Age of the Video
The post also drew criticism from some users who questioned the footage’s relevance. One commenter, Reckless, said Fink would likely have given the same response if asked about another cryptocurrency, calling the link to XRP speculation.

Another commenter, Lary_K, focused on the video’s age. He claimed that the interview is almost three years old and argued that using the footage to assess BlackRock’s current position in the cryptocurrency market is misleading.
That distinction remains important because BlackRock’s current ETF strategy provides no direct indication that an XRP product is imminent. The firm has maintained involvement in tokenization through its BUIDL fund and partnerships such as Securitize, including interactions with the broader XRP Ledger ecosystem and RLUSD-related infrastructure.
The resurfaced clip therefore provides another point of interest for XRP observers, but Fink’s comments do not constitute confirmation of a BlackRock XRP ETF. For now, BlackRock remains outside the spot XRP ETF market while competing issuers continue to build assets and liquidity in the sector.
