Selling XRP at $5 could feel like a major win. Selling at $10 could feel even more significant. But crypto investor Pumpius suggests that some holders could sell at those levels and later watch XRP reach a three-digit price.
His recent X post focuses on one of the biggest decisions XRP holders may face if the cryptocurrency climbs substantially higher. “Most of you will sell XRP at $5,” Pumpius wrote.
He then said other holders would sell at $10 and “call it a life-changing win.” Pumpius added that those investors could later watch a three-digit XRP price and decide to sell earlier.
Pumpius did not provide a timeline for XRP to reach $5, $10, or a three-digit valuation. He focused on how holders might respond as XRP reaches increasingly higher prices.
Most of you will sell XRP at $5.
The rest will tap out at $10 and call it a life-changing win.
Then you’ll watch a three-digit XRP and feel it in your chest.

XRP Holders Offer Different Views
Responses to Pumpius’s post showed that XRP holders approach profit-taking differently.
JJ described a strategy based on the percentage gain. “I tap in at 10 cents / I tap out at $10 / That’s 100x,” he wrote.
JJ then compared that outcome with buying XRP at $10 and selling at $100. That move would produce a 10x return. He said the first strategy would give him the larger percentage gain and joked that he would sit on his sofa and cringe while watching XRP price rise.
Frank Skeffington raised a different point. “How many XRP holders do you know who have enough XRP where selling at $5.00 would change their lives?” he asked.
His comment focuses on the size of an investor’s XRP holdings. A $5 XRP price would produce different financial results for holders depending on how many tokens they own.
Matt described a much higher selling threshold. He said he had held XRP for seven years and would not sell unless XRP reached a four-figure price.

Higher XRP Targets Remain in Focus
Other XRP commentators have discussed targets well above $5 and $10.
A Sept. 23, 2026 Times Tabloid article discussed a $1,000 XRP price prediction from Dom Kwok. Computer engineer CharuSan XRP said he trusted Kwok’s assessment because he believed Kwok wouldn’t make such a statement without concrete information supporting the projection.
The same article covered CharuSan XRP’s personal $125 target. He said the price would make him “completely financially free” and explained why he chose $125 instead of lower targets such as $10 or $15.
Pumpius’ post places $5 and $10 among several price levels that XRP holders have discussed. The responses show that investors can set very different exit points based on their holdings, entry prices, and personal financial goals.
