Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP recorded a sharp pump on Tuesday following the U.S. CPI report. The latest CPI update gave rise to bullish sentiments in the crypto market as the United States inflation rate fell lower than expected to 7.1%. Data show that this was the biggest drop in headline Year-Over-Year (YoY) CPI since the COVID crash in April 2020.
The Tuesday price surge in Bitcoin and XRP led to BTC breaking the $18,000 resistance while XRP approached the $0.4 mark. This mild momentum gain in the crypto market led to several whales moving huge amounts of the leading cryptocurrency as well as the XRP Ledger native token among other assets.
Data collected from the popular blockchain tracking platform Whale Alert showed more than $261,294,472 in BTC and XRP have been relocated by crypto whales in the past 24 hours. While $54,636,423 worth of XRP was moved within this time range, Bitcoin worth $206,658,049 was also put in motion.
Among other whale actions, 1,129 BTC worth $20,076,797 was transferred from Coinbase to an unknown wallet. Also, 1,242 BTC worth $22,088,814 BTC was transferred from Coinbase to another whale wallet.

According to several updates shared by Whale Alert today, more than 139,168,202 XRP tokens have been moved by anon whales within the last 24 hours, in four transactions. Accordingly, these units of XRP were worth $54,636,423, at the time of execution.
In the largest XRP transaction reported by Whale Alert on Wednesday, 42,540,910 XRP were transferred by a loaded user on Binance to an unknown wallet. At the execution, this transfer was valued at $16,615,487.
Another report showed that 35 million units of the XRPL native token were relocated from an unknown whale wallet to Bitstamp. This operation was worth $13,809,712 at the time of transfer.
Shortly after this transfer was done, Whale Alert publicized a movement of 34,400,000 XRP worth $13,478,924 from Bitso to an unidentified wallet.
The most recent XRP shifting broadcasted by the tracking platform revealed that 27,227,292 XRP worth $10,732,300 were transferred from a Binance user to an unknown wallet.
