New Shiba Inu (SHIB) burn record has recently been set. A few hours ago, a Shiba Inu mysterious wallet sent billions of SHIB tokens to an inferno wallet, where they will be permanently inaccessible, setting a new record in the process.
According to Shibburn, the platform that tracks all transactions of SHIB tokens to dead wallets, there was a record Shiba Inu burn a few hours ago.

Going by the report, a mysterious Shiba Inu whale wallet destroyed a whopping 10 billion SHIB tokens worth about $124,300 at the time the transaction was initiated. It’s also worth noting that the massive SHIB burn only took the whale a single transaction.
Shibburn tweeted, “In the past hour, there have been a total of 10,028,551,985 SHIB tokens burned and 6 transactions.”

The recent massive burn is regarded as the largest community-led burn since the Shiba Inu burn initiative was introduced. It’s also the biggest single transaction burn since the SHIB Burn portal went live.
According to the chart shared by Shibburn, the latest burn has massively increased the SHIB burn rate, which has surged over 5063% within the last 24 hours.
As seen on the SHIB Burn Portal website, 41.2 billion SHIB tokens have been removed from the circulating supply since the launch of the burn portal, via about 1,000 transactions.
