Is This Microsoft’s Teaser Meant for Shiba Inu Community? Details

Shiba Inu Community has been left with many questions after Microsoft’s recent tweet.

The official Twitter handle of the US-based tech giant Microsoft made an unusual joke about dogs taking part in online meetings on its business communication platform.

The context of the tweet makes many, especially the Shiba Inu community, believe that the tech behemoth is likely considering support for SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Microsoft tweeted, “There are two types of dogs on Teams meetings.”

As expected, the tweet was flooded with tons of reactions and comments from Shiba Inu community members. Some members went as far as predicting a potential partnership with Microsoft.

Microsoft’s Foray into Cryptocurrency

Microsoft joined the crypto bandwagon relatively early with the incorporation of the Bitcoin payment option in 2014.

According to a job posting published earlier this month, the tech giant is currently developing its own Web3 strategy.

The company also announced that it would purchase a video game holding company, Activision Blizzard, for a whopping $68.7 billion to make an entrance into the metaverse sector.

It’s worth noting that in late November 2021, Shiba Inu partnered with the former VP at Activision Blizzard, David Volk. This deal is seen as a connection between Shiba Inu and Microsoft, which could have also brought about the recent cryptic tweet.

Also, Shytoshi Kusama’s tweet on January 18 about the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is also a sign that something big is seemingly cooking for the Shiba Inu community.

Kusama tweeted, “ICYMI: This acquisition echoes our last move to bring aboard former Activision VP @william_volk and hiring of .@PlaysideStudios to work on our game. It’s fun to see the big players share the same vision as a “meme coin” on the MV too.”

However, this is a speculation until an official announcement. But if the rumors could be true and Microsoft officially incorporates SHIB as a form of payment or sign any deal with Shiba Inu, it will be a massive game-changer for the fast-growing ecosystem.
