Over the last 24 hours, Ethereum whales, according to WhaleStats, have been on the Shiba Inu (SHIB) accumulation spree. This increase in buying pressure has been attributed to the upcoming partnership announcement.
As reported by WhaleStats, over 622 billion SHIB tokens worth $16.72 million were purchased by three Ethereum whales over the last 24 hours.
According to WhaleStats, Gimli, the 9th biggest Ethereum whale, initiated the purchase of a whopping 421,370,420,624 SHIB tokens worth $11,313,795 at the time of purchase.
The whopping SHIB purchase played out in two transactions. The first transaction carried 150,000,000,000 SHIB worth $4,027,500, while the second carried 271,370,420,624 SHIB valued at $7,286,295.
WhaleStats tweeted, “Last 24hrs, a whale names “Gimli” just bought 421,370,420,624 SHIB worths $11,313,795 in two transactions.”
The second whopping transaction initiated by the biggest Ethereum whales involved the purchase of 150 billion SHIB tokens.
As reported by WhaleStats, 167th largest ETH whale bought 150,000,000,000 SHIB worth $4,053,000 in a single transaction.

The last gargantuan transaction carried out by the biggest Ethereum whales within the last 24 hours involved the purchase of 50.6 billion SHIB tokens.
According to the on-chain analytics platform, the 16th largest ETH whale accumulated 50,687,552,959 SHIB tokens worth $1,360,960.

On 29th March, the team behind Shiba Inu (SHIB) announced that the cryptocurrency is on the verge of sealing a partnership with a yet-to-be-named company. This partnership announcement is expected to play out today.
The unusual accumulation of SHIB tokens was noticed after the community was tipped of the upcoming partnership announcement. So, people believe that Ethereum whales are likely preparing for a notable price surge once the partnership is announced.
At the time of filing this report, SHIB is trading at $0.00002733, with a 1.73% price downtrend in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.
