Flare (FLR) Airdrop To XRP Holders Is Commencing in Less Than 24 Hours: Details

As earlier reported, the long-awaited FLR token airdrop to eligible XRP holders at the time of snapshot in December 2020, is set to happen today.

The Flare Networks team reechoed in the early hours of today that the execution of the FLR airdrop Token Distribution Event (TDE) will not be postponed again compared to past experiences. 

More so, the team noted that a community Twitter Space will precede the FLR airdrop TDE which is slated to begin at 23:59 UTC prompt today. 

The team wrote, “the FLR Token Distribution event is just 24 hours away,” Flare said in an announcement today. Join the Flare team and guests on Twitter tomorrow. The distribution starts at 23:59 UTC sharp. The stream will start a few minutes before.”

The airdrop event which has been shifted many times in the past was due to exchanges and validators’ unreadiness. As many exchanges including Binance, Kraken, Crypto.com, Coinbase, and OKX have shown their preparedness to support the airdrop, eligible XRP holders will finally receive their appropriate FLR tokens after more than two years. 

Most supporting crypto exchanges have also agreed to distribute FLR to their customers within 2 weeks after the TDE which is slated for today. But Coinbase said it would issue the FLR airdrop tokens within the first half of 2023, adding that FLR trading will be available to only its supported jurisdictions excluding Germany, Japan, New York, and Singapore. 

According to a previous update, Flare revealed that Japanese exchanges such as Bitbank, Coincheck, Huobi JP, and DMM Bitcoin, have been working through JVCEA and FSA approval to be able to support FLR distribution

Nexo, KuCoin, Huobi, Gate.io, Bitfinex, Bitrue, Crypto.com, BitStamp, Bithumb, UpBit, Okcoin, MEXC, Poloniex, Uphold, Bitso, CEX.io, GateHub, Probit, iTrust Capital, Liquid, BTC Trader, and Bitcoin Meester are other exchanges supporting the FLR TDE happening today.
