The mention of Shiba Inu came about when Jonah Katz, an engineer at Twitter, tweeted about his unwavering commitment to spending six hours a day on the platform, even if it rebranded itself as a donkey. Musk responded to the tweet with a laughing emoticon, noting that Twitter had previously used a Shiba Inu dog logo without any significant impact.

The Tesla chief likely referred to the period when Twitter temporarily adopted the Dogecoin avatar on its homepage. A quick scroll through Musk’s Twitter account reveals that his previous mention of Shiba Inu dates back precisely two years, during an active period of discussing other sensational cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and FLOKI.

Ragnar Shib, a prominent figure in the Shiba Inu community, recently reached out to Twitter’s newly appointed CEO, Linda Yaccarino, requesting the integration of Shiba Inu into the platform. Ragnar believes that the Shiba Inu community is highly engaged and willing to collaborate in integrating Shiba Inu with Twitter. However, it’s worth mentioning that Musk remains a steadfast advocate of Dogecoin.
On the other hand, Twitter’s new CEO seems to have an interest in Shiba Inu, as evidenced by her Twitter followings. In May, it was confirmed that Yaccarino follows the official Twitter handle of the Shiba Inu token, along with several other crypto projects.
