Expert States Why He Chose XRP

Crypto commentator Bird has published a detailed post explaining why he considers XRP his top-ranked digital asset.

Rather than focusing on short-term market performance, Bird’s argument centers on institutional alignment, regulatory outcomes, and XRP’s historical resilience. He describes XRP as an outlier within the crypto market, asserting that its combination of characteristics cannot be replicated by any other asset currently in circulation.

Institutional Relationships and Strategic Positioning

Bird begins by challenging readers to identify another digital asset supported by an ecosystem of comparable scale and influence.

He points to Ripple’s estimated valuation of roughly $50 billion, arguing that XRP is supported by a network of non-disclosure agreements and strategic relationships involving nearly 2,000 institutions, including banks, governments, and major enterprises.

According to Bird, these relationships are not symbolic but are intended to support meaningful changes to the global financial system.

He further emphasizes XRP’s proximity to political and regulatory power, stating that it holds “a seat at the White House.” In Bird’s view, this level of access reflects relevance within policy conversations rather than peripheral lobbying. He also highlights what he describes as “real legal clarity,” contrasting XRP with digital assets that continue to face unresolved regulatory status.

Market Products, History, and Holder Base

Bird’s post also references the existence of successful exchange-traded funds tied to XRP, presenting them as evidence of acceptance within traditional financial markets. He argues that these products would not exist without a degree of regulatory confidence that remains absent for many competing assets.

In addition, Bird points to XRP’s long market history, which he characterizes as involving extended periods of constrained performance. He describes this as “years of documented suppression,” suggesting that price action alone fails to capture the asset’s underlying positioning. He argues that this period has contributed to the formation of a large base of long-term holders who have remained committed through regulatory and legal uncertainty.

Technology, Community, and Longevity

Beyond institutions and regulation, Bird highlights the culture surrounding XRP. He describes a community built around shared narratives and sustained engagement, stating that it demonstrates “unmatched engagement across social platforms.” He contrasts this with communities he views as transient or cycle-dependent.

On the technical side, Bird reiterates that the XRP Ledger operates as a decentralized system offering high transaction speed, low cost, energy efficiency, and reliability in real-world use. He presents these features as operational advantages proven in production environments.

Decoupling From Bitcoin and Long-Term Outlook

In a follow-up exchange, an X user named Zaardaar questioned XRP’s ongoing correlation with Bitcoin, noting that it continues to move in tandem with the broader market. Bird acknowledged the current coupling but offered a definitive timeline, responding simply with “2026” when asked when decoupling might occur.

Bird concludes his argument by stating that history tends to favor assets capable of surviving regulation, litigation, and extended timeframes. On that basis, he maintains his belief that XRP is positioned to surpass Bitcoin in market standing.
