Ethereum Whales Now Hold Over $1.5 Billion Worth of SHIB, As Coin Returns To Top 10 Whales Holding List

According to the on-chain data service WhaleStats, Shiba Inu (SHIB), the second-largest meme token in the market, has now joined the list of top 10 digital coins held by the largest 1,000 Ethereum whales.

$1.5 Billion Worth of SHIB Tokens and Counting

Going by WhaleStats’s reported data, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is back on the list of top 10 coins owned by Ethereum’s largest 1,000 bag holders.

The whale activity reporting platform, WhaleStats shared the latest development on its official Twitter handle a couple of hours ago.

The report says the number of Shiba Inu tokens held by this group of crypto investors now totals $1,591,886,983.

As of 12th February 2022, the whales holding the amount mentioned above represent about 16% of their crypto portfolio. In terms of USD value, SHIB token is also the biggest among Ethereum whales.

According to the report, Shiba Inu comes second on this top ten list after Ethereum.

Number of Shiba Inu (SHIB) Holders Attains New High

WhaleStats has also provided data about a new milestone attained in the Shiba Inu community.

At the moment, the amount of SHIB holders has risen to a new high of 1,170,231, indicating that the crypto added 10,108 new holders within two weeks.

Whale Alert tweeted, “New Record: $SHIB reaches an astonishing 1,170,000+ holders. Current Holder Count: 1,170,231. The top 1000 ETH wallets are holding 54,660,348,749,568 $SHIB ($1,697,152,883 USD).”

The number of SHIB holders has also managed to surpass that of another trending meme token, BabyDoge, which has 1,400,001 holders.
