Elon Musk Recent Post Sparks XRP Endorsement Rumor

Given Musk’s penchant for cryptic posts and his company’s rebranding from Twitter to X, many interpreted the video as a potential reference to the company. However, a more intriguing theory emerged from an unexpected source.

Crypto Bitlord (@crypto_bitlord7), a prominent figure within the XRP community, posited that Musk’s post could be an endorsement of XRP. He wrote, “Musk soft shilling XRP? -This can’t be a coincidence I really think something big is happening.”

In a follow-up, the crypto pundit suggested that Musk intentionally used a secretive approach to refer to XRP. The argument rested on the premise that the first letter of Musk’s post referenced X, the company’s name, while subsequent tweets could potentially introduce the letters R and P, completing the XRP acronym.

The XRP Community Reacts

The XRP community has been trying to get Musk’s attention for a long time. While some members of the XRP community agreed with Crypto Bitlord’s theory, citing similar instances of Musk’s alleged cryptic messaging, such as his references to Tesla cars, others were more skeptical.

Many dismissed the idea as far-fetched, pointing out the obvious connection between the X-shaped skyscraper and Musk’s company. The counterargument asserted that Musk was simply promoting his brand and that any interpretation linking the post to XRP was a stretch of the imagination.

The latter is the stronger explanation, as Musk has consistently advertised X, his social media platform, and put in the work to improve the platform. He sees X as the digital town square and aims to make the platform open for discussion and free speech.

Is Musk Pushing XRP?

The incident highlights the speculation that often surrounds Musk’s public statements, particularly among cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Any action or utterance by a high-profile entrepreneur can send shockwaves through the market, as evidenced by the rapid response and discussion generated by the X-shaped skyscraper video.

Ultimately, different people in the community have differing opinions on whether Musk intended to subtly endorse XRP or was merely promoting his company. At press time, Musk had not shared any post hinting at another letter of XRP like Crypto Bitlord suggested. Although the billionaire has a pro-crypto stance, he has yet to show public support or interest in XRP.
