While the XRP army was the most active in replying to Musk’s post, the DOGE army, in contrast, is notorious for leaving comments mostly when Musk tweets about their preferred meme cryptocurrency.
Musk has continued to support Dogecoin solely, disregarding XRP despite the enthusiasm of the XRP community. He never mentioned it in his X posts or tweets prior, only talking about DOGE and occasionally Bitcoin (BTC). But the XRP community continues to hope for the recognition of the tech billionaire.
The XRP army is excited about Musk’s post because they believe that his attention could help legitimize XRP and drive up its price. XRP is the native cryptocurrency of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), a faster and highly scalable blockchain.
Ripple, the major distributor of XRP, has been using the digital asset to settle payments on its network since 2012, as it grows to be one largest cryptocurrencies in the market.
However, XRP is currently facing a lawsuit from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which alleges that XRP is a security. The outcome of this lawsuit could have a major impact on the future of the digital token.
