Elon Musk Ignites XRP and SHIB Armies’ Notable Demands with His Recent Announcement

Billionaire and tech mogul Elon Musk has sent shockwaves through X, his social media platform, with a bold announcement. Musk plans to ditch his phone number soon and go all-in on X for communication, triggering reactions from the crypto community, especially XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB) armies.

He posted, “In a few months, I will discontinue my phone number and only use X for texts and audio/video calls.” While audio/video features are not available on X yet, Musk has previously hinted that the development team is working on them, and these features could materialize soon.

Although some interpreted this audacious move as a calculated promotion, it has ignited reactions, with Musk receiving a wave of commendation from his teeming followers. One user referred to Musk as the “true X Man,” referencing Iron Man and comparing Musk, who many see as a visionary, to the fictional superhero.

This excitement has also spread into the crypto world, as prominent crypto YouTuber Lark Davis said, “Might follow suit,” showcasing the potential appeal of Musk’s plans for an X-centered lifestyle.

XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB) Armies Respond

Prominent XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB) community members also commented on Musk’s actions. XRPCryptowolf (@XRPCryptowolf), a renowned figure within the XRP community who recently joined the effort to promote the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to a trillion-dollar asset manager, posed an intriguing question.

He asked, “Can X also integrate crypto payments like XRP?” Implementing crypto-based features will attract a lot of users to X, with many potentially shifting to Musk’s proposed lifestyle of communicating through X, as they could perform all crypto transactions and meet their needs through the various features on the biggest microblogging platform.

This viewpoint is more evident in Lucie’s (@LucieSHIB) statement. The SHIB ecosystem marketer wrote, “In a few months, cash and fiat currency will become obsolete, with cryptos like $Shib, $Bone, and $Leash emerging as the preferred means of transaction.”

New Crypto Features Coming to X?

Musk’s support of cryptocurrencies is well-documented, as his comments have driven up crypto prices on several occasions. The most notable of these is Dogecoin (DOGE). If Musk takes the words of these enthusiasts, he could make X a more welcoming platform for the crypto community.
