Crypto investor Zach Humphries believes XRP could recover toward $1.30 after its recent decline pushed the cryptocurrency below the $1.20 level.
With XRP trading around $1.17, Humphries sees a potential short-term trading opportunity and is considering opening a position to capitalize on a possible rebound.
Speaking in a recent video, Humphries explained why he considers the current price range important, identified the technical levels guiding his trading strategy and shared his expectations for XRP’s long-term performance.

Zach Humphries Targets a Recovery Toward $1.30
Humphries based his short-term outlook on XRP’s recent price movement and historical support levels. He recalled previously warning that the cryptocurrency could lose the $1.20 level, a prediction that materialized when XRP dropped to approximately $1.17.
Examining the weekly chart, he identified similarities between the current price and the levels where XRP began stabilizing in June. He believes this historical price action makes the $1.16 to $1.17 region important for traders watching a possible recovery.
Humphries acknowledged that XRP has experienced approximately five consecutive weeks of declines. However, he believes the latest downturn could create an opportunity for a short-term swing trade.
He is considering opening a position around $1.17 or $1.18, with a target between $1.30 and the upper end of that range. He explained that XRP previously maintained prices around the early $1.30 levels for extended periods in March and September, making that region a potential recovery target.
He also highlighted XRP’s recent underperformance compared with other major cryptocurrencies. While some digital assets recorded gains, XRP continued to decline. Humphries believes this weakness could create an interesting trading opportunity if the cryptocurrency begins recovering.
However, he warned that Bitcoin’s performance could determine whether XRP achieves the anticipated rebound. He also stressed that his proposed trade represents a short-term opportunity, not a prediction that XRP will immediately reach $5.
Market Vitals Signals Show Short-Term Weakness
Humphries also reviewed XRP’s technical indicators through Market Vitals, an AI-powered dashboard he uses to monitor cryptocurrency market conditions.
According to the platform, XRP received a sell signal, with its trading indicator switching to short on November 6. Humphries said he wants to see the indicator reverse toward neutral before considering a stronger improvement in market conditions.
Despite the short-term sell signal, he noted that five of the platform’s trend checks remained intact. The only missing confirmation involved XRP’s performance against the broader market index, where its relative-strength MACD indicator had not turned positive.
He therefore maintained that XRP’s longer-term indicators still showed a buy signal, even though the short-term outlook remained weak.
Humphries also examined Stellar (XLM), which moved from neutral to weak on the dashboard. He explained that he would prefer to see these indicators improve rather than deteriorate further.
$8 to $10 XRP Price Prediction Maintained
Looking beyond the immediate trading opportunity, Humphries maintained his expectation that XRP could reach between $8 and $10 during the current market cycle.
He admitted that his previous $8 prediction did not materialize during the anticipated altcoin rally in 2025. At the time, he expected XRP to build on its 2024 recovery and establish a new all-time high. However, the anticipated rally failed to develop.
Despite that missed prediction, Humphries continues to see significant potential in XRP. He believes increasing institutional participation could support the cryptocurrency market and create favorable conditions for altcoins.
He described the current period as the first institutional crypto bull run but rejected more aggressive XRP targets of $20, $30 or $40 as unrealistic expectations for this cycle.
