Per a recent video making rounds in the crypto sphere, renowned crypto expert Jason Friedman, the Chain of Blocks YouTube Channel host, reveals that a parallel seems to exist between Ripple Labs, a prominent blockchain payment company, and Amazon, one of the largest tech firms in the world.
According to Friedman, Ripple is incorporating the business prototypes employed by Amazon in its early days, which saw it expand to become a global tech company.

Jeff Bezos and Brad Galinghouse are Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) at Amazon and Ripple, respectively. Friedman seemed to have observed these men closely, noting that both could be said to have similar visions at the early stages of their respective firms.
Friedman cited a 1999 late-night interview where Jeff Bezos spoke about Amazon’s failure to record profits in the previous years. The Amazon CEO noted that its company was focused on the long-term, which explains why it seemed to push its gains into other aspects to aid expansion.
This is 2023, 24 years after Jeff’s interview, and it is safe to say that Amazon’s growth was exponential as the tech firm now ranks as one of the world’s most successful companies.
On the other hand, Brad Garlinghouse made a statement at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, which Friedman feels could be very similar to Bezos’s assertion in 1999.
Notably, Garlinghouse was quizzed about the profitability of Ripple at the conference. In response, he pointed out that the company is not focused on making gains presently, noting that his firm is more concerned about the future.

Expantiating further, the Ripple CEO acknowledged the devastating impacts of several factors like liquidity, market volatility, and several other macro factors on the crypto market. However, he still believes in the sustainability of crypto projects.
Garlinghouse added, “We are going to continue to invest, hire more people, acquire more companies because I believe in where the world is going.”
Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at Ripple Labs, David Schwartz, revealed in one of our previous news publications that XRPL could experience real-world asset (RWA) tokenization of XRP within a two-and-a-half-year interval. The CTO stated, “I think we’ll see that in the next year or year and a half.”
It is worth noting that Schwartz made this revelation via an interview, which he granted three months ago, implying that the RWA tokenization is drawing closer.
