Jake Claver, a well-known business leader and financial strategist, recently took to X to make a striking claim about Ripple USD (RLUSD) and its role in what he termed “the biggest wealth transfer in history.”
He stated that RLUSD is already handling “$300 million in daily volume,” suggesting that Ripple is setting its sights on treasuries, stocks, and derivatives, aiming to bring “hundreds of trillions” of dollars onto the XRP Ledger. Claver implied that those ignoring these developments would regret it in the future.
Challenging the $300 Million Figure
Claver’s statement quickly faced pushback, particularly from X user H Zeitzler, who questioned the accuracy of the “$300M daily volume” claim. Zeitzler attached a screenshot from XRPScan, a blockchain explorer for the XRP Ledger, showing that RLUSD’s 24-hour trading volume was only around $1.5 million—less than 1% of Claver’s figure.
In his response, Zeitzler dismissed Claver’s claim, calling RLUSD’s trading activity “almost nothing” and arguing that the token’s growth potential is restricted due to its reliance on outdated XRPL software.

What the Data Says
The XRPScan screenshot from Zeitzler included additional information about RLUSD’s market metrics. The token currently has 32,132 holders and 53,107 trustlines, with a total supply of 44,055,086.29 RLUSD.
Its price is listed at 0.412986 XRP, and its 24-hour volume stands at 693,236.74 XRP, which converts to approximately $1.5 million based on recent XRP prices. These numbers directly contradict Claver’s assertion of $300 million in daily volume.
RLUSD’s Market Position and Future Prospects
Claver’s comments reflect the broader sentiment among some XRP advocates who believe that the XRP Ledger will revolutionize financial markets. However, the data shared by Zeitzler points to a more limited adoption of RLUSD at this stage.
The discrepancy between Claver’s claim and the blockchain data raises questions about the actual scale of RLUSD’s impact and whether it will achieve the level of financial disruption that he predicts.
While Claver paints RLUSD as a key component of an impending financial transformation, the current data does not support his assertion of high trading volumes. Without clear evidence to back his claims, skepticism remains about RLUSD’s market significance and its potential for large-scale financial adoption soon.
