Bitrue Has Big News for XRP Holders: Here’s What Franklin Templeton Just Did

Bitrue recently reported that Franklin Templeton clients bought $5.66 million worth of XRP. The purchase comes as XRP ETFs continue attracting institutional capital at a steady pace. Franklin Templeton runs the XRPZ ETF on NYSE Arca, giving clients regulated access to XRP without holding the asset directly.

Institutions Keep Filing

The Franklin Templeton purchase fits into a pattern that SEC filings have been confirming for months. Citadel filed a 13F disclosing 34,900 call options on the Canary XRP ETF. The firm closed its put options entirely. Analyst Xaif Crypto noted that Citadel had removed “the safety net” while keeping bullish exposure active.

Gallacher Capital Management followed with its own disclosure. The firm’s Q2 2026 13F-HR, filed with the SEC in July, showed 86,744 shares in the Canary XRP ETF at a reported value of $961,126. That position sits alongside holdings in BlackRock, Blackstone, Broadcom, and Caterpillar.

Brookstone Capital Management also holds a position in XRP ETFs. The list of regulated firms gaining XRP exposure through compliant vehicles continues to grow as more firms increase their positions.

ETF Inflows Tell the Same Story

The U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded 8 consecutive weeks of net inflows through mid-2026. Cumulative net inflows reached $1.49 billion since the ETFs launched in November 2025. May 2026 was the strongest single month, pulling in $118 million.

On July 16 alone, XRP ETFs recorded $6.78 million in net inflows, their strongest single day of the month. Bitwise led with $4.41 million. Franklin’s XRPZ added $2.38 million.

Why This Matters for XRP

XRP now has multiple regulated ETF products trading in the U.S. with combined assets exceeding $1 billion. Firms entering through ETF structures tend to hold positions longer than retail participants. Each SEC filing represents a deliberate portfolio allocation decision, not a speculative trade.

Franklin Templeton manages over $1.5 trillion in assets. The firm already runs Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. The $5.66 million purchase reported by Bitrue adds to a cumulative institutional story that SEC filings have been building for months.

Regulated firms across different sizes and strategies are choosing XRP ETFs as their vehicle of entry. The filings keep coming, the inflows stay positive, and the list of institutions with XRP exposure continues to grow.
