Crypto analyst Egrag Crypto has presented a new analysis centered on XRP’s 40-day Relative Strength Index (RSI), highlighting several key levels that he believes will determine whether the market is rebuilding a bullish structure.

In his latest post on X, Egrag explained that XRP’s 40-day RSI is currently around 42.7, placing it just below what he describes as an important macro reclaim zone. While the indicator has approached this area, he stressed that it has not yet reclaimed it through a confirmed candle close, meaning the technical confirmation he is looking for has not yet occurred.

Why the 44 RSI Level Matters

Egrag identified the RSI level around 44 as the first major technical hurdle. He explained that this area previously served as significant cycle support during earlier market phases. Since the RSI has fallen below that level, the former support has effectively become resistance.

The analyst stated that a confirmed move above approximately 44.11 would indicate that the recent technical breakdown is being repaired. He added that such a move would also suggest bearish momentum is weakening and that XRP is beginning to return to its historical macro structure. In his view, reclaiming this level could also allow the RSI to begin forming a higher high, an important feature of strengthening momentum.

However, Egrag emphasized that reclaiming 44 alone would not provide the strongest confirmation. Instead, he outlined what he considers the ideal sequence for validating a bullish shift.

The Confirmation Sequence to Watch

According to the analyst, the strongest technical structure would involve the RSI first breaking above 44, then advancing toward 47 before returning to successfully retest the 44 level as new support. If that sequence develops, he believes it would provide a cleaner confirmation that XRP’s macro RSI structure is turning bullish.

He further noted that maintaining an RSI reading above 47 would strengthen the case that the indicator is moving beyond a bottoming phase and entering a period of expansion.

Beyond those levels, Egrag pointed to additional milestones that traders should monitor. He said an RSI reading of 50 would indicate that bullish momentum has returned, as reaching 52.85 would provide strong macro bullish confirmation. He also referenced the 80 RSI level as major cycle-expansion territory, although he clarified that this should not be viewed as an immediate target.

Analyst Maintains Focus on Technical Confirmation

Egrag concluded that the 44 RSI level remains the first major reclaim signal for XRP. Nevertheless, he maintained that the combination of a move above 47 followed by a successful retest of 44 as support would offer the clearest evidence that XRP’s long-term RSI structure is shifting back into bullish territory.

His analysis emphasizes confirmation over anticipation, suggesting that the coming RSI movements could play an important role in determining whether XRP is establishing a stronger technical foundation after its recent decline.

]]> Crypto analyst Dark Defender (@DefendDark) believes XRP has reached an important stage after a breakout on the 8-hour chart. In a recent post, he said XRP achieved a “clear break” and remains on track to complete the five-wave structure he first outlined on June 30.

He highlighted $1.13 as the level to watch. His chart suggests XRP has already completed waves 1 through 4, with wave 5 expected to extend higher if current support remains intact.

A Breakout Above Long-Term Resistance

The chart displays XRP breaking above a descending trendline that had capped price action since the decline in early June. That move aligns with Dark Defender’s view that the breakout confirms the next stage of the wave count.

An Ichimoku Cloud also appears on the chart. XRP has moved above much of the cloud and trades above the upper boundary. The asset trades at $1.1342, sitting just at the $1.13 level the analyst highlighted. Holding above it could help maintain bullish momentum toward the next target.

The chart also includes Fibonacci extension levels. The 161.80% extension sits near $1.109, while the projected fifth-wave target reaches the 361.80% extension around $1.2265. That projection supports Dark Defender’s view that $1.22 remains within reach if the current structure continues to develop.

RSI Signals Growing Momentum

The Relative Strength Index also supports the improving technical picture. The RSI has climbed to about 63.9 and has crossed above its moving average, which sits near 51.3.

The indicator rapidly regained momentum after hitting historic lows in June. It remains below the traditional overbought level of 70. That leaves room for momentum to continue building if buyers maintain control. Dark Defender highlighted this area on the chart, suggesting he views the recent RSI move as confirmation of the breakout.

$1.22 Remains the Next Target

Dark Defender’s analysis centers on one condition. XRP needs to remain above $1.13 to maintain the current technical setup. His chart marks that price as the key level supporting the expected advance.

If XRP continues to build above that area, the projected fifth wave could carry the token toward the $1.22 region shown on the chart. That target also aligns with the upper Fibonacci extension plotted in his analysis.

In a new market update, crypto analyst Egrag Crypto presented what he describes as one of his primary macro charts for XRP, stating that the asset is developing a triple-bottom formation that could lay the foundation for significantly higher price levels if key technical conditions are met.

The analysis centers on XRP’s long-term price structure rather than immediate market movements. According to Egrag Crypto, the current setup reflects a series of rising cyclical lows supported by major exponential moving averages (EMAs), creating what he believes is a favorable long-term risk-to-reward opportunity.

Triple-Bottom Formation Remains the Central Focus

In the accompanying chart on X, Egrag Crypto identifies three distinct bottoms that have formed over multiple market cycles. He explained that the first two bottoms have already been established, while the third bottom is currently developing.

The analyst highlighted the region between approximately $0.90 and $1.00 as an important support area where the third bottom is taking shape. He noted that this zone aligns with several long-term exponential moving averages, increasing its technical significance.

According to the analysis, the 21 EMA serves as a gauge of macro momentum, while the 77 EMA represents major cycle support. The 111 EMA, meanwhile, is identified as deep macro-bottom support. Egrag Crypto suggested that the convergence of these indicators strengthens the overall structure displayed on the chart.

Although he believes the third bottom is developing, he emphasized that the pattern has not yet been fully confirmed.

Key Levels Could Determine the Next Phase

Egrag Crypto also outlined the price levels he believes XRP would need to reclaim before the larger bullish structure is confirmed.

The roadmap begins with an initial reclaim at $1.23, followed by structural confirmation at $1.56. Beyond those levels, he identified the $2.38 to $3.54 range as the major breakout zone that could validate the broader pattern.

If XRP completes that breakout, the analyst projects Fibonacci extension targets at $9.28, $15.35, and ultimately $31.65, corresponding to the 1.272, 1.414, and 1.618 levels on the chart.

Egrag Crypto stated that accumulating XRP near the macro EMA support region could provide exposure to potential returns of approximately 9x, 15x, and 30x, provided the asset completes the breakout structure outlined in his analysis.

He also stressed that charts do not predict the future with certainty but instead provide a structured framework for anticipating possible market scenarios. According to the analyst, this triple-bottom chart represents one of his primary long-term roadmaps for XRP holders and traders, offering a technical perspective on how the asset could progress if its current macro structure continues to develop as expected.

While some community members believe smaller reserve requirements could improve onboarding, CharuSan XRP maintained that network security should remain the highest priority and warned against changes that could weaken the ledger’s protection against spam and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

Responding to Vet’s detailed explanation of his vote, CharuSan XRP emphasized that reserve requirements serve a critical purpose beyond simply determining the cost of creating accounts on the XRP Ledger. He noted that if the community wants XRP’s price to rise consistently over time, protecting the network should take precedence over lowering barriers that may offer only limited benefits.

Reserve Reductions Should Not Come at the Cost of Security

According to CharuSan XRP, the current reserve level of 1 XRP should not be viewed as an obstacle significant enough to justify reducing an important security mechanism. He explained that previous reserve reductions were appropriate because server capacity had improved considerably over the years.

However, he pointed out that today’s environment is different, with artificial intelligence increasing demand for storage and computing resources, making those resources more valuable than before.

For that reason, he described another arbitrary reduction in reserve requirements as a risky move. In his view, reserves remain a fundamental layer of protection that helps defend the XRP Ledger against spam attacks and DDoS activity. Maintaining that protection, he suggested, is more important than pursuing a lower reserve requirement to reduce the initial cost of opening an account.

Vet presented a similar position in his original thread, explaining that the XRP Ledger’s architects intentionally designed reserves to protect network storage and memory from abuse.

He also recalled that the base reserve had already fallen dramatically over the years, from 200 XRP during the early days of the modern XRPL to just 1 XRP today through validator voting as XRP’s value increased and server capabilities improved.

Better Products, Not Lower Reserves, Are the Real Onboarding Solution

CharuSan XRP also questioned the argument that reducing reserves would significantly improve user onboarding. He suggested that attracting more users depends far more on creating quality products and delivering a better user experience than lowering the reserve requirement by a fraction of a dollar.

Vet echoed that assessment, stating that anyone participating on a blockchain must always hold some cryptocurrency to perform transactions. He also pointed to the upcoming XLS-68 sponsored fees and reserves features. He sees them as a more practical approach to reducing friction for users without weakening the XRP Ledger’s existing security model.

Both CharuSan XRP and Vet maintained that the long-term success of the XRP Ledger depends on strengthening the ecosystem with useful applications, secure protocol upgrades, and improved network resources rather than reducing reserve requirements. They indicated that any future proposal to lower reserves should first demonstrate that it can preserve the same level of protection currently provided by the network’s reserve system.

Batch Amendment Highlighted as a Key Addition

Among the proposed upgrades, Vet placed particular emphasis on the Batch amendment, describing it as one of the most exciting additions. As a result, he indicated he would vote in favor of the amendment immediately once voting begins.

The fate of landmark legislation, the future of the world’s largest stablecoin in the U.S. market, and growing speculation around an XRP digital asset stockpile. Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy) addressed all three in a recent video, laying out a pivotal moment for XRP and the entire sector.

The CLARITY Act

The CLARITY Act is the central issue. Digital Asset Investor featured a clip of the Binance CEO, who noted that after the Genius Act passed, banks became more willing to embrace it. He believes the CLARITY Act would produce the same effect globally.

A BlackRock representative, also featured in the video, offered a more cautious read. He put the odds of passage before the August recess at below 50%. He warned that while regulators at the CFTC and SEC can write rules, those rules are “much more reversible than what you see when it joins statute.”

Digital Asset Investor warned that if the CLARITY Act fails and Democrats reclaim the Senate, Elizabeth Warren takes the chair of the Senate Banking Committee, opening the door to a “Gensler 2.0.” He cited a firsthand account of founders being advised by attorneys to avoid mentioning crypto during FINRA applications despite no law prohibiting it.

Tether Faces a 2028 Deadline

Tether is facing a potential U.S. delisting. Its $185 billion USDT faces a U.S. delisting if it fails to comply with the Genius Act by July 2028. Currently, 25% of its reserves sit in non-compliant assets. CEO Paolo Ardoino previously committed to compliance, but the company did not respond when recently asked about it.

The XRP Stockpile and Ripple’s Position

Digital Asset Investor raised a point he says is going under-discussed. Patrick Witt, who works on crypto at the White House, indicated an announcement about the Bitcoin reserve is coming soon. The original executive order from President Trump also referenced a broader U.S. digital asset stockpile. The XRP component of that has received little public attention.

He also highlighted Ripple’s acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road and its access to RLUSD, Ripple’s Genius Act-compliant stablecoin. He described Ripple as “Wall Street 2.0” and said he believes XRP’s moment in the current cycle is approaching.

Digital Asset Investor sees the CLARITY Act, Tether’s potential delisting, and Ripple’s growing institutional position as converging catalysts for XRP. A compliant regulatory environment removes uncertainty. A Tether delisting redirects stablecoin dominance to RLUSD. Ripple’s Wall Street infrastructure and a potential XRP stockpile add further weight.

XRP has fared no better, entering July barely holding the $1 price level after sliding from around $1.30 at the start of June to a low of approximately $1.04, its weakest level since late 2024. Against that backdrop, we asked ChatGPT to produce a probability-weighted price prediction for XRP on August 1, 2026.

The Prediction

XRP currently trades at $1.09. ChatGPT’s forecast places the asset in a broad range of $0.90 to $2.20 by August 1, depending on how market conditions develop. When pressed for a single figure, the AI settled on $1.34. This price is a modest recovery from current levels but reflects continued uncertainty rather than a decisive breakout.

More Price Targets

ChatGPT structured its forecast across three scenarios. The base case, carrying a 60% probability, places XRP between $1.20 and $1.45, assuming market conditions remain broadly unchanged. It noted that multiple forecasting platforms project XRP to range between $1.15 and $1.25 by the end of July.

The bullish scenario, assigned a 25% probability, targets $1.60 to $2.20. ChatGPT identified meaningful progress on the U.S. CLARITY Act, continued institutional adoption through Ripple’s payment network, upward movement in Bitcoin, and renewed ETF inflows as the conditions required to support this outcome.

XRP ETFs have already experienced eight consecutive weeks of inflows. If these products can regain this momentum, it could boost the asset’s price. XRP is also considered more likely to move higher if it closes above $1.20 and the CLARITY Act receives a timeline for a clearer Senate vote.

The bearish scenario, at 15% probability, projects $0.90 to $1.10. This outcome would follow a broad crypto market selloff, further legislative delays, or Bitcoin breaking below key support. Analysts note that the $1 level is critical for XRP, with a potential drop toward $0.80 if that floor gives way.

Can XRP Regain $3?

ChatGPT placed the probability of XRP reaching $3 by August 1 at “below 10%, requiring the simultaneous passage of favorable U.S. crypto legislation, massive institutional buying, and a broad market breakout. The AI noted that the $3 target remains alive for 2026 as a whole, but would require a full market rebound rather than a near-term catalyst.
