Analyst States When XRP Will Hit $1, Many Community Members Disagree

Pseudonymous crypto analyst Dark Defender (@DefendDark) recently issued a warning in his latest prediction about XRP.

In a post on X, the analyst delved into XRP’s price action, hinting at potential dangers lurking under the current surface. He stated, “XRP in the daily time frame strolling just above the $0.61 zone is dangerous for him.”

The Danger at $0.61

Dark Defender notes the precariousness of XRP’s current price. At the time of his analysis, XRP was hovering above $0.61 on the daily timeframe. His fear comes from XRP’s proximity to crucial support levels at $0.5652 and $0.5286.

XRP has dropped 3.95% over the last 24 hours and is trading at $0.6042. If XRP continues this decline, its price could go further down if it breaches these support levels.

The analyst further points out XRP’s recent rejection at $0.6649, highlighting the horizontal move that followed this rejection and indicating market indecision. While seemingly neutral, Dark Defender warns that this sideways movement could precede a sharp drop if support levels fall.

Eyes on $1+ Targets

Despite the cautious outlook, Dark Defender doesn’t dismiss the possibility of a bullish surge towards $1 and beyond before the new year. He acknowledges that $1+ targets are “in play” and wouldn’t be surprised to see them reached before the year ends.

Dark Defender’s expectation lines up with Google Bard’s belief that XRP can reach $1 before the end of the year.

The Community’s Response

Dark Defender’s tweet sparked debate within the XRP community, with traders expressing doubt, confidence, and indifference.

One user stated that he is in it for the long haul and will hold XRP until it reaches $4 in 2024/25. He expressed confidence in his target and predicted that the digital asset would climb to $8 – $10 after the $4 mark.

JayXRP (@JayXRP2), another crypto analyst, showed confidence in Dark Defender’s prediction with an emoji.

Chloe XRP (@Chloe_Le_Pen), a prominent crypto influencer, also showed her support for Dark Defender and his prediction, writing, “Couldn’t agree more! $XRP to $1 by EOY.”

However, this prediction had some detractors, with one user writing, “This year??? …I don’t think so.” Another user stated that XRP could only reach $1 if Bitcoin climbed to $60,000.
