XRP is currently trading around a major technical level that could determine its next move, with crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto identifying $1.46-$1.47 as the most important short-term resistance to watch.
In a video attached to his recent tweet, the analyst outlined a potential move toward $2.10 if XRP breaks above that area while maintaining its current market structure.

XRP Remains Near the $1.40 Point of Control
Steph Is Crypto began his analysis by examining XRP’s recent price action on the eight-hour chart. XRP recorded an initial pump nearly two weeks ago before entering a consolidation phase that formed what he described as a bullish flag. The cryptocurrency then broke out of that structure but remained around the $1.40-$1.41 range.
The analyst highlighted $1.40 because it represents the point of control from February 2026. A significant trading volume accumulated around this price, making it an important level for XRP.
XRP previously lost this range in May and subsequently fell below $1. The cryptocurrency has since recovered and moved back above the point of control. Steph Is Crypto said XRP must continue holding around $1.40 to maintain its current short-term bullish structure.
A break below $1.40 could push XRP toward $1.30, the lower end of the volume cluster identified in the analysis. A move below $1.30 could then expose XRP to a deeper correction.
$1.46-$1.47 Could Confirm a Bullish Move
The next major level sits between $1.46 and $1.47. Steph Is Crypto pointed to the previous rejection around September 2 and said a break above this area would establish a stronger local bullish market structure.
A successful breakout could send XRP toward approximately $2.10, which he identified as the technical target for the potential bull pennant breakout. The analyst also highlighted a potential risk-to-reward ratio of more than 7:1 based on the setup and a defined stop-loss.
For now, XRP remains below the key resistance and continues to trade close to the $1.40 point of control. The analyst therefore considers the $1.40 support and $1.46-$1.47 resistance as the immediate levels that could determine the next direction.
Weekly Structure Supports a Larger Outlook
Steph Is Crypto also examined XRP’s weekly chart and highlighted a breakout from a large falling-wedge formation that had developed since July 2025.
He compared the current structure with previous periods when XRP broke above long-term downward resistance following extended bearish conditions. The analysis references similar breakouts in 2020, 2022 and 2024, which preceded major upward moves.
Based on this historical comparison, Steph Is Crypto sees the possibility of XRP reaching a new all-time high during the remainder of 2026.
He also examined XRP against gold and highlighted a long-term upward support trend that has previously coincided with major bullish periods for XRP.

XRP Search Interest Nears Five-Year Low
Another part of the analysis focused on search activity for XRP. Steph Is Crypto showed data indicating that XRP search volume is currently close to a five-year low.
He linked the lack of retail interest to the current market setup, noting that periods of low attention have historically presented more favorable conditions for major moves in cryptocurrency markets.
The immediate technical picture remains centered on $1.40 and $1.30 on the downside, while $1.46-$1.47 represents the key breakout zone.
